I'd do it like Luke did. (See video below. Sorry it doesn’t embed)

Getting tossed is less likely to lead to brain damage and might be a little fun.

    It depends how you land.

Having been tossed many times knocked out twice, once from a punch and once from a kick I’ll take the tossing part but learning to fall properly makes a huge difference. I’ve seen people get knocked unconscious in throws and concussions

I'm sure. And I wouldn't know how to land properly, as I've never practiced it. I've never actually experienced something like a judo toss so I'm talking out of my ass a bit here. But I have been hit in the head before and did not enjoy it.

Lawsuit will be more compelling if I get tossed like a ragdoll.

The person who could ragdoll me would have to be really strong. So a punch from them would be painful. But most people don’t know how to throw a proper punch (but I do)…so I’m going with a fistfight.

I know that’s not the question. If it’s purely getting knocked out or tossed, I’ll take tossed because I can somewhat control the landing.

BONUS ROUND! Let’s not forget Kid Zangief:

Getting tossed means nothing, can happen to anyone.... getting knocked out on the other hand? That's a total fail.

What's more embarrassing, Tyler getting tossed like nothing or Poole getting knocked out in practice?

I'm primarily a striker and pretty good at it. Let me assure you, someone that knows how to throw is far more devastating than a knockout punch, all other things being equal. All you have to do is control the angle of your throw to land the wrong way and you can permanently injure a body for life, if not just take the life. Personally, after breaking my ankle in judo on a freak accident (my fault) and seeing all the other black belts limping around talking about the many dangerous injuries they suffered I gave it up, but man, out of the two I'll most likely take the KO punch over the throw. Throws with intent to injure are absolutely devastating.

Of course, a KO punch can also do devastating damage and even injure or take a life, but out of the two I'll take the KO punch.

I guess the way I see it, the most incompetent true knockout is still a knockout... the fight is 100% over.

Most throws can be recovered from.... CERTAINLY not all, but if we're comparing the average throw...i might be able to get up and knock the person out especially if the throw was done by an amateur.... ANY true knockout, you're knocked out.

Everyone should get tossed once, just to see if you like it.

I know a guy that is super into it.... heard horror stories from his ex girlfriend.

That said, I feel like, at a minimum, it's gay adjacent.... not that there's anything wrong with that. You just probably don't want to go that route unless you are willing to find out some things about yourself you didn't know or weren't willing to admit.

Skill matters in both striking, throwing and grappling. Size matters, skills matters, fitness matters, etc. There is truly levels to it all. That's not even taking into account weapons, multiple opponents, and even deeper mass casualty events or war that are outside social violence.

That being said, all things being equal (size, strength, technique, etc.), a single perfect strike from the most skilled striker is not going to be as devastating as being thrown head first by the most skilled thrower.

Now, amateur striking/throwing is all over the place, not worth consideration except in a case by case basis.

Only if you're doing it with someone of the same sex.

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked in the head with an iron boot?

Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens.

That I have not, I agree. I have seen people get knocked out from bad throws though.
