It's the holiday season, a time of giving. Griffin is giving threats for Christmas. Way to go, Griffin!

Griffin made threats, man claims, as driving incident continues to bubble
The brother of a man who filed a lawsuit over a March traffic accident involving Timberwolves forward Eddie Griffin now says the player came to his store and threatened him.

The brother of a man who filed a lawsuit over a March traffic accident involving Timberwolves forward Eddie Griffin now says the player came to his store and threatened him.

Abed Hassuneh called police shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, about an hour after Griffin and a friend came to his store near the University of Minnesota. Once at the store, Hassuneh said, Griffin had a store employee call him at home and that was when the player threatened him and called him names.

"It's an uncivilized way of settling something," Hassuneh said Saturday. "He started making threats that he'd have people to deal with me."

Griffin confirmed to a reporter that he went to the store and had spoken with Hassuneh on the phone. "I went there yesterday and asked him why he was doing that," Griffin said late Friday. He said he told Hassuneh that an allegation that he was masturbating at the time of the accident was false and that nobody should have said that.

As for an assertion that he was angry and yelling on the phone, Griffin said, "They can say what they want."

Earlier this month, Griffin pleaded guilty to inattentive driving in the incident when he drove into a parked vehicle. He paid $375 in fines and fees.

Jamal Hassuneh's car was parked outside the store and damaged. He has sued Griffin and the Minneapolis police, alleging Griffin was watching p*rnography and masturbating when he hit the car. He cites a surveillance tape from his brother's grocery store taken after the crash in which Griffin said he was drunk.

Doesn't sound like there's much to this story. Just some nobody trying to further his brush with a known athlete.
