    Agreed. We're not talking about the father of a toddler here: 17 is the legal age of consent in that country. She's legally an adult, and free to make her own choices. To say that this person was in the right by maiming a person for life (and almost killing him in the process) for engaging in a consensual relationship with another adult just because you think the age difference is too significant is sickening.

    Would you be saying the same thing if it was an 18-year-old dating a 58-year-old? Does one year really mean the difference between castration and live-and-let-live?
