So much for the "Let's get Badianne over here NOW!" threads we had for a while. Anyone remember those? Anoyone care to fess up about how hot they were for him? Second round picks are an absolute crap shoot. Only a few of them make the league every year and it is RARE for one to make a the rotation of a good team, let alone have a starring role.
Always liked this pick not ready to give up on him since he has only been playing basketball 7 years. To jump pretty much straight pro off no real basketball experience, it gets no rawer than that. I say keep his rights until he is 24 or close to 25 give him a shot. Anothony Parker had a good season after euro ball, and Barnes took some time to develop bouncing around. This guy is a athletic 6'11 guy with 255 pounds definately. I saw enough of him to see why the rockets picked him. Also euro ball is about great shooters from point guard to center and the best shooter plays and he doesn't have three point range, so his game will translate better in the nba.
If JVG would have just brought him over a couple years ago he would be in the starting rotation by now.
