Are Macy's and Nordstrom selling me knockoffs? I doubt it Yeah, you can, go to sales at major department stores. Nordstrom is more expensive (around 30-40) for Lacoste and Burberry, but Macy's has both Lacoste and Polo on sale for $20-25 all the time. Go after Christmas or during their bi-annual sales.
I have never seen a Lacoste polo on sale, ever. And I've looked. Lacoste is like Apple, the price point seems set in stone.
No you cannot. I see them on sale some times for around $55 or $60, but they do not get much cheaper than that. And those prices are usually for the less popular colors. The Black one, for instance, is almost never discounted.
Actually I saw and bought the Lacoste knockoff a couple of years back just because I was curious. It still cost me $30!
I take that back, I have seen a Lacoste polo discounted once. It was some putrid green color that was far too big for most people to wear.
Locoste is more difficult to find and they do have a lot less of them on sale but they are available. Nordstrom has a membership type thing where you can come into the back room and shop for sales items the 3 days previous to a sale, they have good prices for Lacoste there but they go fast and they may not have a lot of variety. Macy's also had some on a sales rack in the men's department about a month ago for $25.
I have been to both stores regularly, and I have NEVER seen those kind of prices, post-Christmas or not. In fact, Macy's has the classic Lacoste polos on sale now for around $65 to $80. Here is one: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=311209&CategoryID=44048 Is this Macy's you speak of in Beijing or Hong Kong?
I already told you, I have bought them at department stores for that price. The colors may not be as popular, but there are always a few good colors in the rack. Polo particularly is on sale a TON.
The ones in the galleria, you must not know where to look In Hong Kong, I don't spend more than 5 bucks on any polo shirt
Look up the Tiger Woods line of nike golf shirts. Poly/Cotton blend with wicking built in, but it doesn't look like a golf shirt necessarily. Very nicely made and perfectly ok for the office.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip, I shall go about doing this from now on and enjoy my 75% off discount on an assortment of Lacoste polos at my neighborhood Macy's.
Lacoste is only good for those breezy days, theyre tough, and the color never fades. I usually get my Lacoste retro fitted which is approx $80 a pop, but i've bought one in NYC on sale for $55 at the cheapest. The standard size Lacoste is too wide and ugly which is maybe why they are about $50-$70, but i've seen them on sale for $45 at Costco (Weslayan/Richmond) today. I would prefer the Ralph Lauren polos though, which are made soft and a little larger in size to fit when washed.
Yea if you want Ralph Lauren clothes at nearly half off prices on everything go to Katy Mills mall. They have a huge outlet store
It might just be me, but I find something like a fitted short sleeve shirt more preferable to polos in almost all situations where I would wear polos. http://www.express.com/fitted-short...ARCH+NAV&Mrnam=Sleeve+Length&Mreft=1&Mrsavf=*
