Based on the video, this was a justified use of lethal force. The girl in pink could have easily been killed.
Seriously, these celebs, athletes, politicians need to STFU. Any opportunity to pounce on a social justice hot potato even if it isn't there. "You need to know the facts, or you need to shut the f*** up." - Carlos Correa
My biggest fear is that people who want to be angry about anything and people who want to capitalize on that anger will make this a circus and not actually debate what occurred here. I would also like to hear what the girls parents who she was gonna stab have to say. Did not know she tried to stab somebody else. I have to ask where were the Adults and the parents to not break this up, we had a big brawl on sunday with grandmothers to granddaughters involved. SMDH.
Lebron must have not seen the video because otherwise he's entirely lost his mind. Early reports stated she was "threatening people with a knife" when in fact she was shot when she was literally in the process of swinging a big kitchen knife towards the stomach of a girl. 2 seconds later and the girl would have had an 8" kitchen knife in her gut. It is so INSANE that Lebron tweeted what he did, I'm surprised he hasn't deleted the tweet.
Full WH statement: Where in any of that is a claim that this shooting was motivated by racism? Are we now going to find fault with simply pointing out that this story is tragic given that an adolescent was involved?
That is about the most ignorant thing I have ever heard and shows me she is in it for the clicks. But seriously eat a dick @J.R. for being so gleeful about this how can you be so happy a 16 year old has died. Just when I think you can't be anymore despicable. Talk about removing all doubt about who you are.
Lebron has a history of speaking out without understanding the facts. He will be a bigger man when he apologizes for making an incorrect assumption without all the facts. I don't think he ever did apologize to Morey when he ran his mouth about Morey being ignorant about the situation in Hong Kong.
In the mean time he's basically created a "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE" poster of a cop that did the right thing to his 50,000,000 Twitter followers.
All the people trying to **** on this officer are doing irreparable damage to the blm/police reform movement. God this is so frustrating.
This video shows how difficult it is being a cop. He had to make a decision and react in less than 5 seconds and now he is being 2nd guessed and criticized for that decision.
Saying "YOU'RE NEXT" after a jury conviction of Chauvin is pretty clearly not a call for vigilante justice but court room justice. Premature, sure, but let's not cast it as something it's not.
Apparently it is now deleted. It would be helpful if he put out a statement cautioning others not to make the same mistake he made and allow more facts to come in before jumping to conclusions about someone being a murderer.
in fairness to lebron, he's an absolutely reprehensible piece of garbage, if the hong stuff didn't already teach you that
No he's right about Morey who IS an absolutely reprehensible piece of pig-**** garbage. Where he was wrong is that he let his emotions get the better of him before learning all of the facts. That video contradicted everything I'd heard about that incident. And this happened 30 minutes before the Chauvin verdict when an awful lot of black people were already on edge - afraid that Chauvin was going to get off. He lost his cool and I'll be waiting to see if he issues an apology.
