Bob* I would like to point out Moses still played until a few years ago , Younger people do not need to witness things to appreciate them ------------------ Will Work for Clutch 101 Book
G Cassell G Drexler C Olajuwon F Horry F Thorpe This would be the best Rockets team, IMO. Although Malone was great, I think Otis fit in well with the team concept and complimented Hakeem perfectly. Not sure how Hakeem and Malone on the court together would work, might be a little cluttered. Could you imagine Clyde and Otis on the same team in their prime...with Hakeem?!! ------------------ I Hate Every Bone in Your Body But Mine
Moses, Hakeem, Rodney McCray, Calvin, and John Lucas. You cannot have an all-time Rocket team without Mo and Hakeem along the front line. Lucas, when sober, was the best pg ever to wear a Rocket uni. Rodney, my all time favorite Rocket, d'ed up the best small forwards of his time, from Aguirre and Worthy to Bird, and never whined. Calvin, not my all time favorite Rocket, was the best they ever had at the sg spot. He could score, but he couldn't guard a fire hydrant. ------------------ [This message has been edited by grummett (edited July 15, 2000).]
I hear those fire hydrant come off picks for open shots very well. My all time team: C-Matt Maloney PF-Chris Gent SF-Serge Zwikker SG-Jon Coker PG-Thomas Hamilton ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong? Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.
the all-rockets roster(trying to stay with the white theme) C. Zan Tabak PF. Cilli Pete(Pete Chilcutt) Sf. Sweet Shootin Matt Bull Sg. brent "high" price pg. mat baloney I hope Jason Collier and Dan Langhi follow these guy's footsteps and lead VERY successful, All-Star calibor carrers. ------------------ "There are two rules for success... 1) Never tell everything you know."
NIKEstrad-- LOL. If you think fire hydrants came off screens well against Calvin, you should have seen what George Gervin used to do to him. ------------------
Hakeem Olajuwon Ralph Sampson Rudy Tomjanovich Clyde Drexler-with Hakeem was beautiful Calvin Murphy ------------------ Will Work for Clutch 101 Book [This message has been edited by moestavern19 (edited July 15, 2000).]

Ralph Sampson from 85-86 sf Eddie Johnson from 96-97 sg Clyde from 94-95 pg Cassell from 94-95 bench Otis Thorpe from 93-94 Robert horry from 94-95 Rodney Mccray from 85-86 Robert Reid from 85-86 Lewis Llyod from 85-86 mario Elie from 94-95 Kenny Smith from 94-95 ------------------
Best players to play for the Rockets, not necessarily playing their best ball here: C - Olajuwon PF- Barkley SF- Barry SG- Drexler PG- Lucas Best players to play for Rockets at the height of their careers: C - Olajuwon PF- Sampson SF- McCray SG- Murphy PG- Lucas
Best all defensive team: C: Olajuwon/Malone/Hayes PF: Sampson/Barkley(when he wasn't hurt) SF: Horry/McCray SG: Maxwell/Drexler/Wiggins/Newlin PG: Lucas I couldn't come up with another PG. Maxwell was the only guy that I ever saw that could consistently disrupt MJ's game. Wigg was tough before he started snorting. Newlin would dive for loose balls and just hustle all the time.He didn't have an ego like these young bucks today. ------------------
C-Hakeem Olajuwon PF-Charles Barkley SF-Scottie Pippen(although I hate him as a person after what he said about Charles Barkley I like him as a basketball player) SG-Clyde Drexler PG-Steve Francis ------------------
I'll just pick my top 12 rather than going position by position: Olajuwon Malone Hayes Murphy Drexler Barkley Tomjanovich Barry Lucas Maxwell Reid Horry ------------------ "No one grooves out MY JIVE!" SaveOurRockets.com
