Sure he would. He hits .300, gets on base, runs well, and can still play solid 2nd base. Why is he singled out? Why not Ausmus or our platoon of 3rd basemen?

I like Ausmus for his game calling, but with him hitting it's like having two pitchers spots.

Fact: leads all leadoff men in hits

Fact: leads all leadoff men in doubles

Fact: leads all leadoff men in HRs

Fact: leads all leadoff men in RBIs

Fact: leads all leadoff men in OPS

Fact: 2nd amongst leadoff men in runs

Fact: Letting him go would be grounds to have Hunsicker committed to the funny farm

How does a player with these stats not deserve to start?
    .294 average
    .357 obp
    .466 slg

    Projected to have:
    104 runs
    49 doubles
    21 homers
    68 rbi

Not bad. Maybe you should argue that we should sacrifice offense and get a good defender out in left. But I doubt many would agree.

Let's see why he gets called out. Why did Francis get called out?

    I'll give you answer!

Ausmus still calls a good game!
Biggio cost us the game yesterday! We lost at least two other games this year because of mistakes in center that should of been recorded as errors....
Biggio wants us to extend his contract!
We can't do anything about Bagwell becuase of his contract!

He is not the only one to blame. Jimy should be fired. Actually he should of never been hired! I think Jerry is not a very good GM. Having Ausmus on the team definitely handcuffs our offense.

I know someone is going to defend Jerry so I will state one point. When we need offense, we get pitchers. When we need pitching, we gets batters. He is always one step behind...

When he does not have a position. When he is a liability on defense. When he loses more games because of his defense than he wins because of his offense. When the aforementioned player gets fat on bad pitching and can't do jack squat against #1 and #2 pitchers. The same #1 and #2 pitchers that he will be facing in the playoffs.

Biggio is just a convenient scapegoat. It's part of sports. Oh well.

Biggboymoomoo, for everyone's entertainment, please name the teams that have OFs in which Biggio would not start.

    Thanks in advance.

    Scapegoat? Are you kidding?

The guy wants an extension. This team has too many holes on defense to allow him to come back. No way you extend this guy! It's time to start over!

I've heard some say that his agent was behind the article in the Chronicle on Sunday saying the Astros should extend his contract now.

What are you talking about? What does this have to do with Biggio being a scapegoat?
