Nothing is easy, but if you are going to be good enough to be a professional but not good to be rostered in the big leagues (NBA or MLB), then basketball has much better career prospects.

Baseball doesn't have a lot of good paying roster spots outside of MLB. Japan and Korea have limited roster spots and then it's minor league wages.

Basketball has pro leagues all over the world that will pay a decent salary.

Being a career minor leaguer is going to pay like crap. Overseas basketball can pay pretty well.

There's no silver bullet answer here though I don't think. It's all hard. Odds are against you in any sport. But if you are like semi-pro good, basketball has more money available globally to pay a salary.

No disagreement from me on this...

I'm just saying that you believe it's easier to make it in Basketball than baseball.... That's what i'm not agreeing with... With basketball even overseas, the teams have a limit of how many americans they can have on the team and there are a lot of other factors that come into play with it also...

Again this is not necessarily true... I have a nephew that just stop playing over seas last year... He's actually making more over here at his present job... I know several individuals that played ball over seas from D1 schools and I can tell you the money is not all that great....

Yeah if you include the Farm clubs then baseball wins... But the money is not that great and you're not getting all the travel perks like playing in the show... Baseball is a hard sport to make it in... Take Mike Jackson from Forest Brook.. He was drafted and about 8 of teammates were drafted and he was the only one to make it to the show... The others never made it out of the Farm system and they were good.. Trust me on that...

hell, kids can now get paid for their likeness in college sports in addition to all the under the table money and perks they’ve been getting for years, and those opportunities could branch out into bigger things even if they don’t make it to the professional leagues

I’m just gonna assume football and basketball come with a lot more opportunities for brand deals and working with different partners, especially as a high level recruit

    Random baseball D&D thought here.
    Are we the baddies?

Biden who grew up in Scranton is probably a Phillies fan but Ted Cruz, Abbott and Paxton are all Stros fans.

Football controls college sports , that’s why the big east fell apart . The issue with college basketball is that kids can just leave for the nba if they are that good , so the product is not consistent .

bro I had no idea who that poster even was

Am I supposed to apologize because I’m a way bigger Rockets fan than I’d ever be a baseball fan? I joined Clutchfans, not Astrosfans
