It's not that baseball is racist, it's simply the lack of blacks playing baseball. It would be great if more blacks (and to your example - Asians) participated. There is a lot of untapped talent that would greatly contribute to the game.

I believe in an interview with Baker, he did remark that there have recently been a number of high draft choices that are black so he is hopeful.

Spectrum SportsNet LA is heading into its sixth season as the exclusive home of the Dodgers. By now being unable to see Dodgers games on TV in Southern California has become a bit of a tradition.

Actually the NHL has been engaged in an outreach campaign to try to recruit more black players.

 

Can you imagine how good the US soccer team could be if there was a pool of black players to choose from?

 

Baseball has seen a decline overall. People are also overlooking the monetary aspect. Let's say you have a 16 year old kid who is a great 2 sport athlete. Are they going to want to wait through years of struggle in the minors and then have to wait years through MLB arbitration to get the big millions or are they going to be a one and done in the NBA or 3 year college football player before they cash in. Also I don't see a lot of NIL money for baseball. Couple this with more exciting sports and a chance to get paid faster, why wouldn't they want to play basketball and football at a higher rate?

hockey might as well not even exist to me…I haven’t seen 1 hockey highlight that wasn’t a random fight clip since I used to watch ESPN on TV back before YouTube existed

if hockey was to return to Houston, it would get about as much reaction from me as another Subway opening in the neighborhood

the next black person I personally know that’s a genuine hockey fan will be the 1st

You just shoot around and practice or play 1x1, 21 , half court etc
