I think that they targeted James last summer and couldn't get it done - now that they finally have James, i doubt they will let him go after only 2 months

Probaly right. i know Sura is better.. another thing is, i know Sura hs health Issues, but that should Automaticly warrant him to be Traded. as you cant tell, i have really mixed feelings about trading Bobby go. he was the glue that kept this team together at times last yea!.

    I disagree.

Juwan Howard and even Bobby Sura are a tad better offensive options than Mr James.

That said, I dont even know why people are making such a big deal about my one opinion post about Mikey. Shoot, I was just watching the game and realized my hatred for the guy. You like him, good, I dont. And Ive got tons of reasons.

    :p

I wouldn't say Sura is a better offensive option than James, MJ averaged more ppg w/ a better FG% when he got here. I know stats don't show everything but MJ has a knack for getting to the basket w/ ease and was our best 3-pt shooter (besides TMac) when he got here.

Anyways, I think the only reason why posters made such a big deal about your post because it seemed blunt and superficial. But everyone has their opinions and I respect that.

I'm surprised no one's thought of Don Chaney as the new assistant coach.

man I hope Jason Kidd is somehow involved. I know it is a pipe dream but stranger things have happened. Hopefully he can whine his way out of there ala my boy ZO.

How about Barkley? He seems to know everything that's wrong with Yao. Let him come in & fix the problems.

Actually I think May will be the next Clarence Weatherspoon. Spoon was great in college and had a few decent seasons early in the league. Then he just has bounced around from team to team being able to play still because of his wide body and ability to get a few boards.

As for James I like Mike James he brings that grit and offense off the bench, but he does sometimes gets the Tunnel syndrome where he does not see anyone else on the court. I think it are these times where it frustrates fans here, when MJ keeps the ball for like 18 of the 24 seconds at the top of the arc and doesnt really try to pass it around. but seriously folks after howard went down he was our main offensive weapon after mcgrady and yao. the only one who would consistently penetrate and get to the line.

i am big on drafting diogu or garcia at 24 i think they can be great role players on this team who can contribute significantly right away or at the very latest next season. and i think if there is any truth to this wesley/sura rumor i think it will be for a pg for sure not a pf. maybe ad, heck who knows maybe even kidd (but i hope not i dont want that contract here) if we had howard we still wouldnt have the 'banger pf' that we want, but we would have been fine in the playoffs the 7-8 boards howard averages would have made a huge difference in the series and of course his offense. a pg to run an offense is more necessary when you have a big man like yao and a guy like t-mac on the team who plays so well off the ball. i could see a s&t maybe for jaric, but its two weeks away man i am going to be pissed if there is a lockout

I didnt go through the entire thread so I dont know if this was mentioned or not ... but ... could Clyde Drexler be the next assistant coach for the Rockets?

I am asking because this past Friday my friend went to the Toyota Center tour and JVG was having a conference with Drexler in one of the conference rooms. He said that there were alot of papers on the desk and they were discussing something.

Dont get my hopes up... I would love to see Glide on the bench, but really he should be in the front office looking at talent and not on bench coaching it..

I take it you're not familiar with his stint as head coach at UH...

Clyde should fit right in. He's already got a protege in Mike James who can dribble the entire length of the floor with his head down at 110 mph.

Wasn't Clyde going to work in the front office of some other team? I could have sworn he got a job with someone. Portland? Maybe they were working on a trade... ;)

    Wishful thinking..

Rumor has it that Ryan Humphrey ate Amare Stoudemire alive in a pre-draft workout.

    That's all I got. :)
