no, my daughter's sin is not any better/worse than a homosexuals "sin". but my daughter is not in the business of ensuring other peoples social acceptance. Niether am I.
I didnt think it was directed at me, I just felt compelled to point out that this one passage alone does not define Christianty.
What you do to your children is child abuse. Soon the law will recognize it as such. It is a damn shame the hate you teach your children. I hope they will survive it.
You're in LALA land dude. I get it, you're gay or close to someone who is gay, you've made it clear. Certain Mormon sects rape 14 year old girls and get away with it in the name of religion and you think I am going to be leagaly obligated to teach my children your homosexual agenda? WAKE.UP. point me to one single reference to back up your ludacris claim.
I have many gay friends but they don't drive me nearly as much as my black friends when I was in elementary school. We all learned about slavery and the rest together. You are within your rights when you do your best to make bigots out of your children, so go ahead. My grandfather was a raging racist. I remember him telling me when I was in the passengers seat that if those little ******s didn't get out of the road he'd run them over. That was his right too. I jumped out of the moving car when he said that and I was lucky not to be injured. I hope your poor children will both display the same guts and have the same luck. Because they are ****ed with you as their father.
Is it O.K. for me to be morally opposed to: - Two men having sex - Two women having sex or does that make me a bigot/bad person?
except within the church. paul's pretty clear about judgment within the church, by the church, for the sake of the church. particularly of church leaders. of course he says it's always to be done with humility, recognizing we all have our own junk to deal with. but that has ZERO to do with this discussion, so sorry for the derail!
it is NOT ok to be against two hot women having sex. i won't (overly) condemn you if these guys make you a little uncomfortable.
I have read through this entire thread and I still haven't seen any Christian tackle the challenge of the bible basically condoning slavery (I forget which poster made the inquiry...finalsbound maybe??). I am really curious to hear the opinions from the "X is right/wrong because the bible says so" crowd. If I missed the response please forgive me....
It doesn't make you a bad person. I happen to think you're wrong, but we won't have a problem as long as you don't try to codify your moral views in the law.
That was pretty specific to the Jewish people. I don't think many people interpret the Exodus story as having a message generally applicable to slavery.
