    Hahahaha

    Best post ever!

There's not much I hate more than Karla.'

If there's one thing that's good, it's saying stuff like this about him. Good stuff.

I hope he breaks a leg or whatever it takes to stop him from becoming a Spur or Heat. It disgusts me what he is doing. He's such a scumbag.

I think he plays this year and probably gets a ring.

The Spurs are far and away the best team in the league, heck they were last year too, but a fluke shot knocked them out.

Barring injury they win it all this year, with Malone.

    :(

At his age, it woudn't be a leg break - more like a broken hip.

Malone will ruin any chance of the spurs winning it all which leaves the door open for the rockets.:D

Hey what if all the future HOF's without rings start coming out of the woodwork to join contending teams.

Imagine Barkely coming out of retirement to join the Rox and have a chance at winning a championship. We can match him against Malone when we play the Spurs in the WC Finals. hahahaha (well at least Malone is still in shape wth happened to Charles)

You can sign with a team when you're injured.

    Sadly, this is probably true.

Unless his insertion into the lineup, and an attempt to fit him in, somehow disrupts the chemistry of the team. Malone then retires, ringless. And the Spurs don't get another championship.

Which I would love to see.

Unfortunately, sneaking his way into a ring is probably the more likely outcome. :(

Why would the Spurs even bother with this broken down old man? I wasn't aware they had a huge need at power forward. Their team doesn't appear to be struggling too bad.

Or they pick up malone, Duncan finally gets the breathing room on the interior he needs, goes on to become the MVP of the regular season and runs into Houston in the WCF where Yao gets mad that Duncan wins the MVP and goes on to school duncan and sweep the WCF to move onto the finals.

    Hey I can dream can't I :)

See... this would be an excellent SNL skit:

Announcers at ballgame: "And it looks like Greg Popovich is going to send in Karl Malone to the game. Malone just signed a 10-day contract with the Spurs and has not yet made an appearance in the finals this year."

[a very old, gray-haired, bearded, hunched-over man with a cane slowly hobbles onto the court. He's in a spurs uniform.]

2nd announcer: "Yeah, he's really desparate to get a championship ring. The spurs have been hesitant to play him because of concerns about his lateral movement, but the've repeatedly said that he's a good fit for this team. They're also concerned about Malone's health after breaking his hip two months ago when he fell down as he got out of bed."

1st announcer: "Well, it looks like Stan Van Gundy doesn't want to take any chances with Malone entering the game, he's sending in Charles Barkley to guard Malone."

[paramedics roll in a gurney with a very decrepid old man on it in a basketball uniform]

2nd announcer: "Yeah, after getting fired from TNT, Sir Charles realized that all the retirement in the world wasn't gonna help his golf swing. When he heard that Malone had signed with the spurs, he decided he wanted a ring as well and joined Miami."

1st announcer: "Well, there can only be one champion here, so lets see which old timer gets the upper hand."

[Malone and Barkley are shown at center court. As an official tosses up a jump ball, Barkley (still on the gurney) doesn't move at all and Malone limply falls unconscious onto Barkley as the ball bounces and rolls away]

If I had the time, I'd make a Flash animation of that

I hope they do get him. He'd be their great omen to win it all.

One of the most pathetic "its" ever! Riding everyone's back trying to get a ring. For this, I really hope the Spurs don't win it all. (if he joins them)

I hope so, too. I really like Karl Malone, always have, always will. He's one of the toughest, most durable players in the history of basketball. One injury riddles season doesn't equate to the end of his career. Malone could probably play another five years if he wanted to.
