Dwight said earlier in the month he was tired of 'sources'. Hey Dwight, so am I. Get your stuff in order already!

I am challenging you Howard to come out and go on the record and stand behind your claims! Not unnamed sources from your camp! It's past time for you to come out!

Shockingly, I agree with what Stephen A. said yesterday.

Of course, but the question is how many people would believe that?

This is so disappointing. We have a really young and promising team with no poisonous contracts and lots of cap flexibility. Despite this doesn't look like anyone wants to really come here.

Been saying this for the longest!

I wanna see dude get asked the questions point blank and hear it from the source.

Eff all the other people talkin for him....I wanna hear him say it.

If its lies....say so...if its true...stand by it.

Quit being passive aggresive about the isht!

    Be a man, kid!

Only reason Dwight isn't speaking up is because he would sound like a selfish idiot. Once he gets traded then he can speak out and basically lie his way out of it.

Exactly. Fegan has probably placed a gag order on him telling him to ONLY speak through his agency. That way, any PR fallout that comes from a trade can be directly attributed to the fact that Dwight's message was convoluted through agents and media. Fegan will tell him, "I can handle that. I'm an agent. It's my job to take the fall for you. Nobody likes me anyways."

Still strange that he took his time saying something. He really didn't say anything then.

Well if you look at the situation in New Orleans with Gordon. People said that he didn't want NO to match his offer sheet that Pheonix was where his heart was. NO ended up matching it and the GM said at summer league that those "sources" were all lies and that Gordon and him had spoken and both were aware that he would be back and were happy about it. It is up to the fans whether they choose to believe it or not.

The answer is, those that want to believe him, whether or not he is being honest is another thing. But there would be people that will buy it.

if we're committed to calling the bluff (at the right price) does it really matter what Dwight or source says?

You have to factor in these agents statements in the trade equation. It does lower the offer to Orlando. It's good strategy to force a move to the Lakers, but good strategy to put the Rockets in better shape going forward if he does sign a max too.

All this griping probably just does us a favor.

I wonder if Howard was traded to Houston, if the Rockets would hold a press conference with Howard sitting next to them at the Toyota Center? What would Howard say? I am glad I got traded to the Rockets and I would love to play here.... think about it for a second what would he say?

I could see him not showing up for 'rehab reasons'.

    If he did...

'We'll just play the season out and see what happens. Whatever happens happens.'

or deny, deny, deny that he didn't want to be in Houston.

or play dumb. 'I said I didn't want to be in Houston? When did I say that? You heard that from me? That's not true. I never said that.'

I get the same feeling something along those lines..... so any updates of any trade package the rockets are considering of offering or are the Rockets through with all the drama to your mama stuff?

Nah, been relatively quiet since 1. the Rockets rookies signed(that is not to say a deal can't be struck now) 2. Hennigan/Howard met a few days ago. Not much to report since.

I doubt we ever hear anything directly from Dwight outside of a prepared statement. Its too easy for him to get himself into trouble with the league if he were to get himself into a QA session with the media. His agent know this and that's why we have to hear things through unidentified sources.

Dwight would show up and say all the right things in the press conference. Just look at what he said last March. He knows how to fool the home fans into believing.
