Orlando GM and his staff on their way to LA to convince Dwight to stay in Orlando + Houston officially get Asik = Last ditch effort to save Dwight before they accept and trade him to Houston.

I don't believe they will wait and even make Dwight wear a Magic jersey this coming season if he sti declines to stay in Orlando. Rockets are ready to deal and Hennigan knows this. Expect a trade VERY soon.

This was an Alex Kennedy report. According to him, the Lakers and Magic were meeting in Vegas (didn't happen). According to him, we'll be pursuing Rudy Gay or Josh Smith as a plan B. The one thing I can take from this offseason is that if Alex Kennedy reports it first, it's false.

Sam Amick tweeted the other day his sources said early August trade for Dwight. Sam is more credible than Alex. And Broussard.

It all depends on Howard. Without Howard we will be vying for a top 5 pick (top 10 if we do not trade Martin, which I cannot imagine), with Howard at 100% and rookie maturation we possibly could be a major threat come next seasons playoffs. Either way we will not be picking 14th next year. Which is what everyone wanted, right?

The Rockets and Lakers should learn from the Nets. The chance of getting Dwight for a year is not worth saboutaging your current players by leaving them on the trading block for too long. The Lakers will regret this if they have to play with Bynum this year. The Rockets players are unsettled not knowing where they'll be playing/living in a few months. They are trade bait or assets instead of the confidence of feeling they're an important part of the Rockets future. Nets squashed that and now are marketting their "four core" players. Rockets can't even do any marketting because they have no idea who's going to be on the team.

Our offer can't get any better unless DMo, Lamb, White, and Jones all become ROY candidates. If we don't get Dwight this summer it's a lost cause.

    This.

    And that is a problem.

And people wonder why no one wants to come play here.

Feb? No one will put an offer for him other than the Net. Even the Lakers will have little chance to persuade him to stay at that time.

Magic is trying to scare Morey with a suicide bomb.

If we do get Howard, playing him ALONGSIDE Asik would be a nightmare defensively.

Dwight is a very good scorer, even though the majority of his value comes from his defense and rebounding. I don't think it would be a terrible offensive frontcourt, it would probably be about average overall.

That said I think a floor-spreading PF like Patterson or Motiejunas would fit better next to Dwight.

Its so funny, that Morey knows what going on. Usually Morey is all gloomy at pressers, but today he was happy. You know something is gonna happen, you can just feel it

Morey knows that the Magic have no other options or routes, Morey is an effing genius and he needs to start getting respect from ALL Rockets fans.
