Cleveland cavs fan here from Cleveland. I believe Lakers our still in the race for Dwight as well. Dwight also stated he would be okay with going to LA. Quick question for Houston fans, if all the speculation is true about DH not wanting to come to Houston, why would you give up your immense young talent and picks for a 1 year rental?

That wasn't Hennigan. Let me introduce you to Dan Fagan. One of the slimiest agents in the biz.

Hennigan might have a hand in the BSPN nonsense in some way shape or form, but he does come from the Spurs camp where they have built their house on doing business the exact opposite as what is being done.

I dont think anyone is afraid of doing business with Hennigan. Dwight's management team has a reputation of nonsense that will take most of the heat for anything that goes wrong with the Dwight trade situation.

they'll lose him for nothing and keep the crap contracts of mediocre players. Hennigan is the man. good. I'd rather keep our assets and wait for a player who's actually gonna sign long term with us.

Well people the Asik signing is tonight so things are going to get interesting again. Is Howard next? I do like how Morey has stepped through this off season, wrapping up each deal before going onto the next one. It almost seems cold and calculated, which I am sure it is. I am glad Les finally turned Morey loose. It makes the off season so much more interesting.

Dwight could also sign with Dallas straight up and the Magic end up getting nothing. I don't see the Magic taking that risk.

Its werid because I thought at draft time, we were going to offer our 3 picks, lowry martin, morris and pat.

If that was the case, Henny was really dumb for not taking that deal because he wanted time to "sink" in to his new job and not rush.

Now we are offering supposedly one rookie only and I see that our offer will get lower as the season goes on.

Henny is making a huge gamble hoping that another team comes in.

I think it is unfair to criticize Hennigan for not pulling the plug on draft night. He had not even talked to Howard. But right about now I feel sure that he is regretting it.

Technically, Hong Kong is an independent city state so China's censorship laws are not operational in Hong Kong.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the new CBA prevent players from getting that extra money through S&T?

Putting myself in Hennigan's shoes, i'd probably do exactly the same thing he's doing. The kid simply doesn't have many good options. Houston and the rest of the interested teams have given Orlando their final offers, and Orlando clearly feels that all offers are far below the value of the best center in the league. Houston is in, by far, the best position to deal with Orlando and probably has the best offer, so Orlando has to know that in the end equation, Houston is the team they have to deal with. Morey isn't going to all the sudden retract his offer. Unless something dramatic changes, Morey's not likely to increase his offer either. He simply doesn't have to because it's still the best one in front of Orlando. So what is Hennigan to do?

Continue to stall, leak false rumors about their own intentions or other teams' intentions; essentially they're trying to create some leverage to get Morey to increase his offer, or buy enough time for another team to get off the sideline and jump in with a competitive offer. Of course, the real deadline for Orlando to move Dwight probably is sometime in the middle of August. They know it, and Morey knows it. They simply can't afford to saddle the new coach with the Dwightmare saga, and if they truly are trying to rebuild, they can't afford to waste another season hovering around 500 basketball, instead of tanking for a high lotto pick. This is a game of chicken, and as long as Morey hangs in there, Hennigan should blink first.

The process is complex because of the cap issues, trading dates and signing priorities. I bet Morey has a whiteboard flow chart that looks like a moon launch.

Have no idea, but I was referring to him resigning with Orlando if not traded.
