Are you talking Rox or Jazz? Rox have beaten the Nuggets in Denver. Jazz got blown out by 20 in the one game they've played there. The Rockets have been pretty decent against playoff caliber teams on the road. They've beaten Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Miami, Orlando, Detroit, and Boston on the road this year. The Jazz have just beaten Detroit.
they've done a lot for us this weekend. 2 utah losses. a spurs loss, blazers, hornets losses... i'm loving it. we catch the pistons on the second night of a back to back and they might not have sheed on friday.
The more this team is playing, the more they are making a believer out of me. I thought the Rockets would fight for the last 3 playoff spots when the Alston trade occurred & TMac went out, but now they more and more look like to compete for a 1st round home-court. This TMac-less team reminds me more of last years Yao-less team, just like when Yao went down, most people felt the Rockets was in danger of missing playoff, but they fought, scrapped, and ended up with 22 straight wins.
na...i dont really think people give a dam about this year tmac...most if not all wanted him to get out and stay the f0ck out....it happened and its looking great
hasn't played the last 3 games. might be out for our game too. not sure what's wrong with him. i know i'll be watching their game against the mavs tomorrow. should know more then.
Who cares about Friday? The Pistons game is Wednesday. On a side note, I'm going to that game and I hope Yao feels better and plays. I've never seen him play in person. Every time I go to a game he's been out of action. The only game I've been to this season was the Dallas game when he was out with a sore foot. And the only games I made it to last season were the Utah game he missed with a respiratory infection and the games after he broke his foot.
i've watched yao play in person a number of times. a few times i got lucky and sat courtside. yao looks much bigger and quicker (believe it or not) than he does on tv. haven't been this year though.
I see what you're saying, and I agree that this year, HC is immensely important if you want to move on in the West. However, the one thing I've learned about the Jazz over the past 16+ years of watching basketball is that they will always go through these lulls in the regular season where they don't execute, and don't hit shots like they normally do....but when the playoffs start, they are a focused team who never lets the opponent dictate the pace of the game. If they are even close to you in talent level (which they always are against us), they will ALWAYS out-execute you. If you are to beat them, it is because you are the more talented team.....not better coached, not smarter, not harder workers....they never do anything to beat themselves, whether it's at home or on the road. This is why we find it so difficult to beat them....ever since the days of Dream, this team has ALWAYS had problems with mental errors and execution problems. That's why the Jazz have been a nightmare matchup for us.
Oh, I gotcha. I thought it was talking about the Rockets because they also won in Detroit. I was like WTF!!!

The Basketball Gods are indeed smiling on the Rockets. Forget that loss to the Spurs and bar the Laker loss from your mind. The Rockets got a crucial victory tonight, and our competitors have been dropping games left and right the past few days. With 13 games left, the Rockets control their own destiny for the #3 seed. I’ll admit it. When I heard Yao was out, I didn’t feel too good about this game. When I watched Ron Artest go 0-9 in the first half, I grew downright pessimistic. But Ron and the Rockets proved me wrong tonight, and they played some mighty clutch basketball down the stretch to bag a very important victory over the Hornets. I rag on Artest when he loses his mind, so I have to commend him for some great play in the second half. It was awesome to see Deke and his naughty index finger, Shane erupting for 11 points, and Von Wafer having a career high in assists. More importantly the Rockets executed down the stretch. The Rockets just seemed to get all the key rebounds and steals. If they play like this, the Rockets can be very dangerous. All Magic Numbers drop 1. It was great to beat the Hornets, who lose an additional Magic Number. We’re now 2-1 against the Hornets on the season with a game in Houston on April 13. If we take that game, the Hornets drop 3 points. We’ll probably go down to the wire, and that might very well be the game to close them out. There are now 4 teams with 25 losses. The Rockets have the most wins of that group so keep the #3 spot for another evening. This spot is starting to get comfortable, and I think we could put down some roots and stay here a while. Popovich coached his 1,000th game tonight, and he had to figure it would be a sure fire victory since they were playing the Thieves. They built a huge early lead, but the Thieves chipped away, raced ahead, and stole a game from the usually reliable Spurs. San Antonio was held to a season low 76 points. Where the hell was this team on Saturday? Kevin Durant had 25 for the Thieves, and Tony Parker had 28 points and 7 assists for the Spurs, who lose an additional Magic Number. The Blazers had dropped 2 of 3, including a beating at the hands of the Hawks. They looked for a little therapy when they traveled to Memphis to play a short-handed Grizzlies squad. While it wasn’t a blowout, the Blazers took care of business and got the win against a team looking to win the lottery. Brandon Roy had 20 points and 9 assists, LeMarcus Aldridge added 22 points and 8 rebounds, and Joe Przybilla had another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Rudy Gay shot 7-21. I have to give Enver credit. I thought they would blow at least one game of their easy stretch, but so far they’re proving me wrong. Tonight they drew the Nets at home and looked for a little payback for the 114-70 loss in New Jersey on February 7. The Nuggets got their revenge, notching up a 25 points win. It’s the third straight victory for the Nuggets, who maintain their ½ game lead in the Northwest division. Nene had 19 points and 8 rebounds, and Chauncey Billups racked up 14 points and 10 assists for Enver. Vince Carter had 32 points in the loss. On tap for Tuesday: Pistons at Mavs, Wolves at Spurs, Wizards at Jazz, 76ers at Lakers
Yep. It's fixed in the post now. Thanks! I had an unbelievably long day writing urgent legal briefs against my neighbor (long story which I really can't get into on this board at this time), and I was glad just to get the post written. I'm actually surprised I didn't have more typos.
