This has got to be the worst deal that they could've gotten for Dwight. I smell conspiracy here...damn you stern!

It's as if the Nets went back and made the offer worse. Oh, you don't want Brooks or Humphries? Ok, here, you can have Luke Walton's corpse, Shelden Williams and Damion James instead.

As much as Hennigan prefers to send Howard to a Western Conference team, the Magic keep coming back to the Nets as the best, safest package. Howard’s preferred trade partner – Brooklyn – has pushed into overdrive in offering up trade scenarios and options for the Magic, sources said. For now, Orlando prefers Lopez as a centerpiece player over having its pick of the Houston Rockets' roster, sources said.

man, if Orl agrees with this trade Nets gonna get a steal. i think they should do a 3 way trade with Lakers and Houston.

Orl Get: Bynum, 2Pat, Morris, Martin (exp Contract), picks from rockets or lakers or both
    Orl Out: Howard, Turk, Richardson

    Lakers Get: Howard, Turk, Scola
Lakers out: Bynum, Gasol + Picks

    Houston Get: Gasol, Richardson
Houston Out: Scola, Martin, 2Pat, Morris + picks

I believe this would be a good trade. Orl gets C, PF, SF, SG (expiring contract) and picks Potential Lottery Picks.

What you guys think????? Which trade you guys thinks makes more sense Houston / Lakers / Orl OR Nets / Clev / Orl ???

This trade would have been done on draft night if the Nets did not trade their (7th) pick for Gerald Wallace.

Why not just use the cap space we have to sign Bynum (or someone else) next year? He already said he he would play here. It gives us the opportunity to find out what everyone is worth on the Rockets.

If the Lakers don't make it to the finals then Bynum would want out. It sucks playing behind Kobe when you're as good as he is. I doubt he wants to be traded when the Lakers just landed Nash. Everyone in L.A. is excited and he is happy he will finally get the ball.

The only reason the trade between the nets and the magic makes sense is because the Nets are owned by a Russian billionaire. So there will be under the table money heading towards the Orlando Magic owner I guarantee it if this trade goes through.

No MarShon Brooks?? No lottery picks?? Isn't a trade of Lamb, Jones, Morris, plus our first rounders (one of which is a GUARANTEED lottery pick) WAY more valuable than this?? A maxed out Lopez is actually a NEGATIVE, as are all the late first rounders. What a joke. If this trade goes through, it's going to SCREAM of collusion between agents and owners.

I posted this in another thread but figured I would put it here to see if anyone knows more about these draft picks-

-Anyone have any idea what 1st round picks they are referring to? Since the Nets haven't aquired any that Im aware of they would have to be their

-2013 1st rounder (most likely late first rounder)
    -2015 1st rounder (still crappy)
    -2017 1st rounder (???)

So Orlando is banking their future on the hopes of the injury prone Brook Lopez on a max contract, 2 late 1st round picks, and some hopes and dreams that Brooklyn will be bad enough in 2017 for that pick to be worth squat??? Wow. That GM should already be fired.

Im not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I completely agree with this. Either Morey backed out of negotiations on his own terms, or the Lakers refused to offer Bynum. There is something fishy going on here.

How sad is that but if you take off the homer glasses Brooks is better than anything we have at the moment - unless you want mid-round picks and/or players. Though IMO, Brooks is not someone you can build around so why bother. And you certainly don't want to give him a new max contract.

Orlando will need to have its doctors examine Brook Lopez's foot before it would finalize any deal, league sources tell Y! Sports

Actually if you read the different Magic message boards most of the problem with Houston's offer is not taking back garbage contracts. Not sure how legit their posters are but it looks like we only offered to take back Duhon.

Now if they are only dumping J-Rich and not Hedo as well in the NJ deal, that offer from NJ looks like crap.

Orlando will need to have its doctors examine Rob Hennigan's brain while they're at it if this deal goes through.

The whole point of rebuilding your roster is to remove bad salary, aquire young talent, and draft picks.

Orlando is only getting rid of Richardson's salary, getting crappy draft picks, and are getting back zero talent on rookie contracts. Lopez's new deal will be more of a burden then the production he gives you nightly when he's actually healthy which is seldom.

If Orlando's GM is just doing this to have something to sell their fanbase then he should be fired. The Magic have been fooled big time by Dwight and his management team. What a joke the NBA is becoming.

If I was Morey I would pursue Lopez now just to F with Brooklyn and the powers that be that run this joke of a league.

Brooks is getting dealt for a pick to send to Orlando. Right now, we have no idea what that pick is. Probably looking for a lottery pick like we got for Lowry, but unlikely to get one.

And likewise, the Nets will need to examine Dwight Howard's back for themselves, sources say.

Helping the Nets turn into a elite team is a mistake by the Magic. At least trade him to the Western Conference.

Your telling me their isn't a couple good deals from the WC, or couple GMs wouldn't gamble with Dwight for one year.
