What's that old saying : "the most dangerous man is the one with nothing to lose". Last year, the Magic had nothing to lose expected by many to compete for the worst record in the league but instead nearly won a playoff spot.

This year the expectations are much different, they are expected to be the elite of the East, perhaps the differing expectations will weigh on the minds of the Magic. Consider practically the entire team had a career year last year, do you really expect them to continue their play at that level? They may, and they may be one of the best teams in the league, especially after adding a true superstar, but it didn't work for the Reds.

uh...the Trailblazer had the Lakers beat...16pts up in the 4th q for christsakes.

Plus the Spurs did not have Duncan. The Spurs have the best defense.

Lakers are very beatable by these two teams.

Why say some upstart with new players can field team chemistry in time to challenge these clear top 3 favorites.

    ummm.

    Heypartner...

First you say that the Blazer had the Lakers beat.

Then go on to say how an upstart team with new players cant field a team with enough "Chemistry" to win (the Magic)

    So which is it.

Or didnt the Blazers go through about 8 players last year?

Isnt the biggest problem to chemistry a new coach? I would say its much harder to build chemistry with a whole new game plan and coaches styles than it is to adjust to a player.

Yet the Lakers won it all last year.
