WTF??? Think before you speak. I have to remember to keep this post in my mind. for this season... and then come back to this post of MINE... Check out his YEAR-BY-YEAR games... never made 82... 94-95 DET 70 95-96 DET 80 96-97 DET 80 97-98 DET 81 98-99 DET 50 99-00 DET 74 00-01 ORL 4 01-02 ORL 14 02-03 ORL 29 WOW. I agree with you, kam
Nowitzki is going to be like Terrell Davis after John Elway left the Broncos. He's going to find out being the guy creating shots for everyone is much harder than he thinks it is. Of course, Yao has learned that last season when he basically gets attacked whenever he gets the ball. Nowitzki's numbers will be poor. I could see the Suns and Mavericks switching places with the Mavs being out of the playoffs while the Suns are in. On a related note, Peja is going to suck this year too due to the loss of Vlade and his passing skills.
This shows how much you have watched the Mavs or Nowitzki. How does Dirk play in international play without Nash? Dirk will be just fine this season. Everybody was hurt last night against Orlando. Stackhouse has a hurt thigh. Daniels is out with a hurt ankle. Dampier didn't play with a tight hamstring. Josh howard has a tight hamstring and played poorly because of it. And Dirk left early with a tweeked ankel. It is just preseason. Don't get carried away.
I think Nowitzki is a great player, but a great point guard like Steve Nash made him look very good just like Jason Kidd made Richard Jefferson an all-star. Steve Nash developed into a great point guard in the same timeframe that Nowitzki developed into an all-star. I remember when Steve Nash got booed every time he touched the ball in his 1st year. Nowitzki was proclaimed a bust after his 1st year. These two guys have been through the roughest patches. I think this coming season will be a season of adjustment for Nowitzki. If you look at the great players in recent NBA history, they had to develop their own game without the help of a great point guard. Guys like Michael Jordan, Shaq, and Hakeem had to deal with below average point guard play in terms of playmakers. It forced them to become better in creating their own shot in order to excel.
