Lebron brought all of this on himself? Do you not remember when Nate Robinson won the dunk contest(which he shouldn't have won by the way) Lebron stole his spotlight by immediately announcing to the world he would be in the dunk contest the following year.

He's going to do it. Then he's going to donate the $1 million to charity. Good publicity, fame, and he pleases the greats (Not that he particularly wants to).

People say that, but I'm pretty sure it's still like a million dollars to them.

Actually lebrons net worth is around 100 million dollars. So thats 1% of his net worth. Not bad

The average american has a net worth around 75k so 1% is 750 dollars

So its more like 750 bucks to us

He could buy more solid diamond and gold toilets for casa de LeBron to match the one in his master bath.

Except it still has the buying power of a million dollars.

Yeah...$750 won't cover most folks monthly mortgage/rent. I am pretty sure $1 million will cover even LeBron's monthly mortgage.

It's more pertinent to count it against annual income. Say he earns $30m after tax, 1m is 1/30 what he pockets a year. Say average Joe's after tax income (generous) is $30k, 1m for LBJ is $1000 for joe.

I think LerBon is richer than Magic at this point in his career.

Did he announce he would do this a few years ago? Why did he b**** out and why wont he step up and honor his word.

It's like him telling Cleavland he would get them a championship or Kobe guaranteeing the playoffs this year all over again

Wow, completely forgot about that for some reason...you are right he did bring this on himself...good luck to him...even though nate didn't deserve to win in my opinion, Lebron still did take all the attention that year...

    That's a stretch...He is worth $110 million, not a billion.

Nobody is forcing LBJ to do it. If he was forced to do it...he would have already done it.

Nope.. I did some googling. Magic's net worth is estimated to be around 500 million. LBJ is around 100-110 million.

He became a businessman and owner. He was smart with his money and invested in several areas including becoming a part owner of the lakers which he later sold and now he is part of a group that owns the dodgers.

You can make a lot more money by investing than pulling in a salary like lbj. Jordan did the same but he still pulls in an insane 70-80 million a year from his air jordan brand partnership with nike.

He made some smart investments over the past. Starbucks, for example.
