Revisionist history. Reddick had a harder time getting on the floor than Bass and Ryan. Van Gundy is the same as Adelman, he'll play you when you are ready.
I heard/read somewhere that Shaw sucks at interviews. If true, perhaps that's what's been keeping him from advancing anywhere.
Jacque Vaughn is still one of my favorite college basketball players of all time. I had no idea he was coaching.
I don't buy it. He wouldn't be so highly esteemed if he couldn't at least communicate effectively (which is why Sam Cassell will never be a head coach anywhere). My theory with Shaw is he only knows how to coach the triangle offense -- effective if you have the right personnel. How'd forcing the triangle on a suck team work out for Rambis?
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:8215302 The new coach says he will talk to Dwight. Maybe he thinks he can change his mind. Martin said he wants to do what's in the best interest of the Magic and they have no timeline for that. I think the best package for the Magic is K-Mart and Gasol for Howard. I think it's too late to pull of that trade with Scola out of the picture. I am pretty sure that's why Morey quickly pulled out of the 3 team trade when he heard the Lakers only wanted to trade Bynum.
Dwight vs Lebron The only difference between Orlando and Cleveland management is that the Magic don't actually believe that their star player will stay. Its time to follow Cleveland's footsteps. Cleveland could be a solid club in a few years. Great building blocks at least. Oh! but Cleveland didn't have as many long-term bad contracts to get rid of.
