All of those teams had more talent than the Orlando squad.

I thought he was refering to T-mac teams in general.

Tmac has had better teams then the three I listed, but hasn't touched the 2nd round.

But you're right. They ain't worse then his Orlando teams.

good points but IMHO the problem was that Tmac's prime was just too damn short, and he compounded it by not playing smartly (i.e. jacking up shots and slacking on D).

Tmac had crap teammates but almost every superstar enters the league with crap teammates. The problem is after he arrived here his back deteriorated and he stopped playing god-like b-ball. His talents went downhill rapidly from there and he wasn't able to wait for reinforcements like Scola, Brooks and Landry who all arrived a season too late. Every other superstar who has a crap team suffers from the first round slump, but these guys generally had a 10 year window to work with so they eventually get past that when their team gets more talent, unlike Tmac who only had like a 3 year window of greatness before it closed.

Lebron James is a much better combination of length, athleticism and skillset. He's like an inch shorter but makes up for it by being 3x as powerful as tmac ever was while being just as quick and skilled.

Durant is already an improved version of Tmac. I don't think Tmac will be missed long, there are already two guys who are an improved version of him and Paul George is looking like an exact copy of him physically.

Durant an improved T-Mac? What? Lebron is more of an improved T-Mac than Durant.

Durant is a better shooter but T-Mac was just as good at finishing and a much better passer, playmaker than Durant.

durant is a more efficient scorer than tmac (i think tmac is a better all-around scorer, but durant is a much better shooter). but durant probably has only 10-15% of tmac's playmaking abilities.

    the thing is,

    Tmac = Lebron without drama.

i personally dont like these type of players, born with unrealistic talent, to be one of the greats of all time, they put up amazing stats every night, play their asses off, but they never had that hunger, that assassins mentality, the thing that you see in kobe and wade, you see it in their eyes, in their game, thats what makes legends. and thats what is eventually going to ruin lebron. and what ruined tmac.

I don't think Lebron was born with extremely gifted "talent" but his frame makes him such an unstoppable force. He has extremely good feel for the ball around the hoop combined with his athelticism makes him near unstable on drives but his footwork and finesse game needs lots of work. I'm interested to see how he will play in 4-5 years when his body might start to decline.

But yes, I am an extreme Lebron hater for a long time..

How can anybody say Mac wasn't playing his ass off. The man did everything he could to try to win. Funny how people say that basketball is a team sport and that it takes everyone to win, but it when it comes to T-mac they expect for him to do it all by himself.

Didn't he say it was on him? The fact is he himself wasted his talents in his prime. It is about time that he and/or his apologists quit blaming his failures on others. In the final analysis he himself was the biggest obstacle to reaching his greatness.

Lebron is his own animal. I don't think you can compare the two because Lebron's body is so different from Tmac. In terms of pure "skill" I'm not sure LBJ is better than Tmac its just that his frame allows him to do so many other things.

Durant is actually the guy much closer to Mac because both of them are really tall (almost 7 feet) yet lanky dudes. Both of them use their height get good looks but unlike Tmac Durant has amazing accuracy on his shot. Tmac didn't really have amazing playmaking skills when he first started out, he just worked it into part of his game. IMHO Durant can do the same thing over time.

Yeah, he said it was on him. Players are idiots. T-Mac is a PR disaster. Really, if you look at the team, I don't see how you don't feel bad for him. He was constantly compared to Kobe who had amazing pieces while his frontcourt was Andrew Declerq and rookie 8 teams in 8 seasons Drew Gooden.

I don't see how anyone can say he wasn't great.
