Maggette believes Houston are tough team to beat!!!!

Here is a positive spin though that you guys are missing:

We can always use the Maggette and Richardson contracts in our negotiations with Mobely

 

And here is the negative. We dont have the money to pay Mobley. Mobley will be asking for more than the MLE. So we are out. End of Story.

 

I don't know where the Maggette wants to play for Houston came from that comment, but...

That dude is awesome, imo. You have to respect how he's honed his body and game since leaving Duke early.

 

Asking for it and getting it are entirely two different things...

All I am saying is, if Maggette and Q (two players I think most would agree are better than Mobely) agreed to sign for that amount of money, I think Mobely should realistically not expect any more than that, in fact less.

But you never know what will happen by summer time, it is pure specualtion on my part of course.

Meanwhile, there are always teams dumb/desperate enough to throw money at the Taylor's and Turkoglu's of the NBA. And Mobely could definitely take advantage of that if he has a good agent. I do think though he, if lucky, will get in the neighborhood of $6 mill, but I don't think more than that though.
