I would rather die a hero than live as a coward. If you are too cowardly to do your job, then you should quit or is it only when the protesters are blacks that you have the balls to defend a grocery store?
Those are mot the only choices The Capitol attack is an outlier Capitol were unprepared and undermanned with some of their own ranks involved
...I get that, man. ...I'm a boots-on-the-ground guy myself. Those officers were in the worst position imaginable in that situation. Severely undermanned. Possibly outgunned. No immediate help in sight. You know, there's nothing wrong with an orderly retreat. Especially since some of those "officers" were chummy and buddy-buddy with the insurrectionists and opening up the f@cking barricades (such as they were) and letting these animals waltz right into the capitol anyway... More disorganization. More cowardice. More complicity. More acquiesence. They could have just rounded up every person they could and moved them someplace and set as many obstacles and barricades between them and everybody else that they could...bunkered down and found ways to move people safely out of harm's way... ...like what happened in the congressional chamber...where representatives had to BARRICADE THE F@CKING DOORS TO THE CHAMBER WITH FURNITURE...and plan another way out...or prepare to be set upon by these worthless pieces of ****... ...like that brave black officer who got those savage f@cks to chase him up some stairs, away from meeting rooms and offices WHERE SENATE REPRESENTATIVES WERE SHELTERING THEMSELVES AGAINST A GODDAMNED INSURRECTION...into what was going to pass as "backup" for him in that moment... I don't want to hear about anybody not ready to die in defense of the capitol or because it was their job to do that or anything else, @vlaurelio... ...(and I'm not mad at you at all, friend)... ...but if they weren't fighting to live in that moment (however they went about it)... ...then they were hoping they weren't going to die.
that guy, he wasn't ready to die nor did he run for his life but he's a hero and saved the US senate it doesn't always have to be a choice between dying and and running for your life but if he was given another chance, he'll do it again and risk it and not just quit and run for his life
