OK after 4 good days with this game I have the following suggestions for people.

    Running
    1) Try mastering the "jurdle" technique it will get you to the endzone with ease.
    2) Learn how to juke with the RS, it works really well with a nimble back like LT or Reggie but even guys like Warrick Dunn are very slick. Best way to use it hit the right stick once you hit the line of scrimmage especially trying to get through blocked defender. Notice your blocking schemes and cut a path for yourself. Rather than piling through holes and gaps use the RS to use cut and juke moves that can easily land you 3-4 yards every time. This way you don't bump into your offensive linemen and never get caught disturbing the defensive line. If you don't understand what I am talking about than try running straight through a hole and you will noticed how quickly blocked defenders will "leech" onto you for the easy tackle. So much as scrap an elbow with one of these guys and you will find 3 or 4 guys gang tackling your ass to the floor. Don't disrupt their block animation just go around them with the juke/wrap around move and make you way to the secondary where you should use either a hurdle or spin move to breakaway for a big gain. That's it 2 well timed and executed moves can get you 15-20 yard runs with ease.

    Passing
OK guys I don't like to pass deep to be honest unless the guy is wide open in blown coverage. The way I setup things is by using short 5-8 yards passes to keep the chains moving and then mix it up with the deep stuff. Most of my passes are thrown to the sidelines on slant or hook routes. Timing has to be perfect or the CBs will pick you off. I very rarely throw down the middle because the safeties tend to intercept the ball there more often. In routes are the most dangerous because the ball gets deflected there very often.

    Overall strategy
Run between the hash marks and pass on the outside. This forces the defense to pileup in the middle and bring the safeties in so the outside is left with man coverage which I can easily exploit using quick routes and timing my passes right.

    Defense strategy
Since Madden is prone to much more interceptions than realistically possible, I tend to sit in pass coverage and zone reads. Also all my blitz are created through the pre-snap screen. I pick and choose my spots. Unless you the one controlling the blitzer, you AI teammates tend to have no clue on how to properly blitz. They run down to the QB very quickly but mostly end up either getting blocked by the FB or getting punked by slow ass QBs like Manning and Brady who will just shrug a blitz off like they are Mike Vick or something. So I just control the blitzing player myself and blow full steam ahead for the QB or the poor RB who gets the "hot potato" hand off only to find himself completely destroyed by me. Also I never bring 8-9 guys in the box even if LT is on the other side and blowing through the line. I just pick my best linebacker and play what I call "RB Spy" where I practically have one man fully dedicated to the running back if I know the run is coming. I can beat pretty much any offensive line with a quick spin or swim move so the linemen are joke for me. Even on goal line play, I play this scheme to rush pass the line and obliterate the runner. This strategy allows for you to control the running back allowing only 3-4 yard gains at best and for some reason after a few running play the computer decides to quit what seems to be working and try to pass and that is where I punish them. When I know a pass is going to happen I will fake blitz then pull back in zone coverage and quickly find a DB to make a move on the ball and pick it off. Champ Bailey is my favorite player in this game bar none because I can change the scope of the game with one or two good interceptions that are easily predictable even at all-madden difficulty.

Anyway I thought I'd share my thoughts and strategies with you guys. Please remember this stuff is based on what I know works in Madden 08 the game not in real life football so you couch coordinators please do not start unnecessary bashing of my strategy.

    Enjoy!!!

If anyone is interested in buying Madden 08, I have it brand new for the XBOX 360. I played the game but I didn't like it so it has been sitting here rotting away. I put an offer on Craigslist and have already gotten 2 offers for it for $50. I would rather sell it to Clutchfans so I am going to give all of ya'll a chance to buy it. I bought it at Gamestop for $65 and I am looking for $50-55 for it. It also comes with the Gamestop receipt. Give me a call at (713) 732-8205.

One thing I definitely do not like is the online glitches. I play the PS2 version online and sometimes after getting a win or after an opponent is losing and quits, I WILL BE CREDITED WITH THE LOSS. WTF!!!!!

How do you open a retractable roof in Franchise mode. Every home game I've played at Reliant has always been closed.

Question for you folks, wondering if you can tell me what I did. Before I snap the ball, none of the options come up on the screen on the right. I have to guess as things such as audibles and the like if I want to change plays, which sucks and is very annoying. The only thing I can see are the buttons the receivers are at if I press Y. But then say I want to hot route one of them. I press X and then I can't see the options again on the right. I have to guess until I get what I want.

I've tried turning the Pre-Snap mode on and off, that didn't solve my problems. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.
