A friend of mine is playing on PS2 and he says it's basically last year's game with a roster update. I bought 07 on PS2 and played it maybe three or four times and got bored with it. This is probably the first year I'm gonna skip Madden.
anyone with the Wii version yet? I liked the game play of the first Madden on the Wii so hopefully they just revamped a few things and improved the game play a little to make it even better.
At Toys R Us there is a coupon you can print that gets you 20% of any video game (Madden). They also have a deal that when you buy Madden you get 50% of another game (excluding 4-5 titles such as NCAA 08). So you could get Madden 20% off and pickup a 2nd game at half price. Pretty sweet...
I don't have Madden 08 but 13 people on my friend's list are currently playing!! DAMN! Hopefully it will be the same when Halo 3 comes out... And also... FYI I saw Madden 08 at Sam's for like $55 something...
i have it on my comp...the soundtrack is like the same as last year. and the houston texans are horrendous as expected
I would have to agree with this statement. There didn't seem to be any significant upgrades in this version on the PS2 and even the roster was a let down...I mean they didn't even have the actual photo of Mario or DeMeco on the depth charts, while Young and Bush did. I mean I understand that they don't respect the Texans, but it's just ridiculous that they can't even update the pic of DeMeco who was the DROY this past year.
I don't understand why they have the worst rating. They were 6-10 last year. Yea they have a new QB but it's not like Carr was so fantastic
yeah it seems like the madden people don't really do their homework on some players, and just look at stat sheets mostly. Like Charles Spencer, he was kicking some ass on the O-Line until he got hurt, and he's rated on of the worst in the league at his position. And they can't even get a photo of Mario Williams..come on now.
He also told me the announcers don't call Demeco by name. Just a generic "the linebacker" or "number 59."
You guys realize the PS2 version is coming close to 'lame duck' status by this point, right? The 360 (and I'm sure PS3) versions don't have those photo and announcer problems.
Didn't he get hurt in like the second game of the season? I know he's likely not one of the worst at his position (that honor may go to Salaam, his replacement)... but I also would temper the "praise" that John McClain and Richard Justice were throwing on this guy after a few preseason games and mini-camp. Remember... they were watching a guy who was in all likelihood, the first non-below-average offensive lineman in club history. Of course he looked like a pro-bowler compared to the rest of the crap they've been exposed to (covered up by a series of bandaids... namely changing o-line coaches, and then offensive coordinators).
Ok i got the ps3 version of the game. I actually like the 07 version better. You cant change camera views on this, which sucks. Also, if your playing two players, you can easily see what play hes going to run. It sucks, graphics arent impressive. I thought last years graphics were slightly better. The crowd looks like ps1 cutt out box people. Im dissapointed once again..
They have thsi on FIFA, it gets so annoying hearing the same reports again and again, I wish I could turn it off.
Yes. May actually be in store only... After a couple of games I think the PS3 version fell short. NCAA is a noticeably superior title. Madden's menu system doesn't lag as much as NCAA though, thats huge in itself.
Got a chance to play much more last night and I'm loving this much more than last year's game. That is saying something from me considering I was still playing a franchise on '07 up to about a month or so ago.
