i'm sure you've been in the texans draft thread. take a look at who were the ones to post those commercials.
Sure, the first one to mention it was Bobblehead, who said he wanted to vomit after seeing it. Two more posters thought it was funny, and then Kam and SwolyD posted about it. That was all within about 2 or 3 minutes. At least 3 of those 5 were Texans fans. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=128410&page=3&pp=20 Followed up by some more Texans fans complaining about it.
oops, i skipped the first few pages of that thread. so yea, they were complaining. i was thinking of the Smokey post just out of the blue http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=128410&page=25&pp=20
Exactly. It started the same predictable way every other tired bbs argument starts. 1. Bush/Vince fan posts something supporting the (very original) idea that the Texans screwed up with the #1 pick last year. 2. Three or four more pile on, hoping and praying to get a reaction from Texans fan(s). 3. Rightly or wrongly, Texan fan(s) respond. 4. Finally empowered (I guess), Bush/Vince fans seize the opportunity to accuse Texan fans of being overly sensitive or obssessed. Every time this argument is brought up, this is exactly how it's done. Sure, there may be different variations, but it always follows this basic method. Some of you guys are like the little sister in the back seat during the family vacation sticking her finger in her brothers face and saying "I'm not touching you!! I'm not touching you!!.."
Even better....imagine Mario inflicting the Madden curse on both Vince and Reggie. I.E...Mario sacks Vince and Vince dislocates his shoulder on the play. And then, imagine when the Saints march into town in November, Mario crashes into Bush, tearing Bush's ACL on the play. Even, better, its for a 5-Yard loss!!!
So when the Titans bomb next year and Reggie doesn't get 1000 yards on the ground and the Texans make the playoffs can we rub our big, sloppy c*cks in their faces about it? That'd be the classy thing to do, imo.
Hey, if Andre Kolb or Kevin Klingler or whoever does anything in the NFL, you can do whatever you want.
He also rushed for 552 yards and 7 td's, which aren't accounted for in QB ratings at all. But hey, ask teams like Buffalo and Houston (and USC or OK State, for that matter) if those rushing yards and TD's by a QB are negligible.
Yep, just look at all of the SB rings that Ron Mexico has. Way better career than traditional quarterbacks like Brady and Manning.
