Pft. That was pretty good, love Bobby Lee. Sadly, I'm sure a number of people are going to take offense from this skit.
Haha pretty funny..and for those whining about them making fun of Yao...dude it's Mad TV...that's what they do..stop being so sensitive!!! However, the vspan radio interview was not funny!
that was pretty stupid.... anyways.....did any of you go to the game against Nets and see the new Wild Thing song they did with Yao Ming...that was pretty funny sutff...a bunch of the rockets players were watchign it during the timeout and laughing...I saw the nets players watching it too during the time out... Yao Ming.....your such tall thing.....You come from Beijing, CHINAA.... somethign like that ...doesn't sound funny here but it was funny on the jumbotron....
exactly, I like the attention and the fact that Yao was dunking and getting in peoples faces.........I like that.
i was about to mention that, i thought it was pretty funny, the best thing that made that video was they showed Yao PLAYING (at least trying) THE DRUMS!!! That was freaking hilarious As for the Mad Tv skit, its was pretty funny, and yes Bobby Lee is hilarious
Maybe Bobby Lee is really a poster here on CF.net and one of those guys who've been saying Yao Ming needs to start knocking some people down.
I don't really see the humor in that.. kind of stupid.. it didn't really make fun of Yao, so.. no funny. Don't really like MadTV in the first place. They're just a small shadow of SNL.. even while SNL has been sucking for almost a decade now.
Just watched the video again...and it was even funnier this time around when I paid attention to the lyrics. Genetically engineered to be the king! ROFL!
does anyone have the video from coach hines from that same episode...now that guy is priceless...he reminds me of a black van gundy. i could see him giving death threats to vspan and the guys...
It was a "humorous" sketch, done in lightness. Not a laugh out loud/fall out of your chair funny segment, but it really doesnt look like it they were going for their usual effect (I think). More like the idea of knowing at some time some point Bobby Lee was gonna do a Yao Ming impersonation, the inevitability he would be connected with the most recognizable Asian person. All the players added had the right jersey numbers and kid caricatures to go with it. Not saying there's some basketball fans at Mad TV but I'm sure you all noticed they added in a kid Steve Novak
Yeah, the skit wasn't rolling on the floor funny but it was just nice to see people noticing our team and the great Yao ming. And to people getting upset, you gotta realize it's done in jest. Yao is becoming recognized as the unquestioned best center in the league, and is becoming a super star in his own right. Of course, people are gonna make the obvious funny comments about him. I know I sure have, I've joked numerous times about how Yao was probably genetically engineered by China to be a super athelete.. Doesn't mean I love Yao any less.
I love how Yao annihilated everyone else. I just don't get why #20 (Steve Novak) was supposed to be one of his enemies.
I thought it was pretty funny. Would have been funny to see a kid version of JVG. Definitely not as bad as Aries Spears doing his Shaq impressions.
I'm telling y'all Bobby Lee is a Clutchfan. Who else would bother to have put Steve Novak in that skit.
