The season premier of television's best drama is tonight at 9 CST. Who's watching? I love the way they left the last season with the new agency and Betty high-tailing it to Las Vegas.
I am marathoning through season 3 now. Looking forward to watching Season 4. Damn DTV not having AMC in HD.
It appears Don Draper is working on a new persona. One that gives great soundbites. So good to see the cast again. Still hard not to hate Betty, though.
Betty is such a petulant child. I liked how Henry agreed with Don about her stupidity in keeping the house past deadline. Things will be interesting with the new agency. I wasn't expecting the season to start with them in their own offices and losing accounts left and right.
About 5 eps away from the end of Season 3 now. The John Deere scene is probably one of the best things I've ever seen in a TV show.
I must say, I'm liking the development turn Peggy's character is taking. She's not annowing me as much.
Agreed with Peggy. Spoiler Anybody else think Trudy is going to lose the baby, forcing Pete to bring in his child with Peggy?
Peggy's peeking over the window, Don's new secretary and Pete's *shrug* to "you son of a b****" were funny. I really was hoping Don was actually going to write that letter at the end, but I knew he wasn't. It seems the show is going to push Peggy quickly into the role of a woman of the 'era'. Interesting to see how she's changed over the 4 seasons. I have grown to be annoyed constantly by the Betty character, but I find myself hoping she shows up more if only so I can get joy from watching her new 'perfect' marriage fall apart.
^OMFG!!!! I absolutely love this show...I've only seen season 3 and of course this one...I need to netflix the first 2 seasons... Don is the man...as he spirals in and out of soberness/man wh*ring...gotta love it...
Ughh you watched the 3rd season without the first 2? This is the absolute last show you should do that with. I mean you missed all the character development! btw I loved this shot and John Slattery (Roger Sterling) has an awesome directorial debut with this episode.
Best episode so far this season. Campbell finally having the leverage to turn the tables on his FIL, Don getting called on his sociopathy, and Peggy smoking pot at a Happening. Then Don taking his life out on the blond focus-group doctor. A little bit of everything that makes Mad Men great. Except this: Spoiler
"She died like she lived, surrounded by the people she answered phones for." -Roger Sterling Good episonde tonight. The plight of Sally Draper continues to be heartbreaking. ..and Joan's husband is totally going to die, right?
Betty and especially Pete have really been pushed to the background, not that I mind or anything. Joan seems to be more of a focus this season as well. And I like that they're continuing with Sally's storyline.
As expected, awesome season finale last night, with a couple of big surprises (well, kinda. Everyone knew Joan was keeping that baby). It would be great if Don's new impending marriage works out, but we're all to smart to believe that it will. Also, Betty is like fairy tale/comic book evil at this point.
