Because like Timmy, they hate Harden more.

    And these are Rockets fans.

Timmy is at least a Mavs fan.

I've always defended him vs the haters, but this is the first time he is actively sabotaging our team w offcourt diva media BS and taking inside issues public ( don't ever go outside the family )

He is the guy calling every major shot in building this entire organization for almost a decade
His moves got us where we were to end last season ... Going nowhere fast

Now that he's hearing the word no for the first time, instead of being a man and a professional, he's throwing a b!tchfit like a hormonal teenager

Good luck trying to call the shots with Ainge going forward
BOS fans will turn on him fast

What stars aren’t playing in the NFL due to non-guaranteed contracts? It’s the rank and file or roster bubble guys that are affected.

If the NBA had non-guaranteed contracts, the stars would still be playing. NBA owners aren’t going to be itching to cut really good players that they need to win championships. Even if those players somehow were cut, they would have no problem securing a short-term deal for the remainder of that season, and then would receive another lucrative contract in the following offseason. At the same time, their previous team benefits by generating a ton of immediate cap space instead of having to take expensive contracts back to match salary.

Also, I think the NBPA would be more than willing to stop this trend of superstars holding their organizations hostage with years remaining on their contracts in exchange for not losing guaranteed money for all NBA players.

The bottom line is it’s time for the owners to play hardball with the players to get this trend resolved. It doesn’t necessarily have to include non-guaranteed contracts.

It would enable the team to open a ton of cap space for the following offseason without being burdened by taking on any long-term expensive contracts that may be needed to match salary in a deal for a superstar on a supermax or max contract. Basically, they gain a ton of roster flexibility. Not to mention, James Harden wouldn’t want to lose his $40 million salary for that season so he has a really good incentive to not hold the Rockets hostage.

Also, NFL teams waive players all the time. The Jaguars cut Leonard Fournette a few days prior to the start of the season and he signed with Tampa Bay on a one-year deal a few days later. The Jets cut LeVeon Bell halfway through the season, and he signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs a few days later.

If the Rockets were to waive Harden under an NFL-like system, he would be immediately free to a sign a deal with any team he wants, and if it’s a one-year deal, he could sign a max contract with any team that has the necessary cap space in the following offseason.

Teams need to stop worrying about looking unfriendly towards the player in these situations. James Harden’s average game check is roughly $284,000. Let him be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team for five games and see how likes losing nearly $1.5 million. If it’s 10 games, he loses nearly $3 million. Even someone as rich as Harden doesn’t want to lose that much of their money. If it also potentially pushes his free agency clock back a season, he really will hate it, and have an incentive to not act out while the Rockets search for the right trade.

Adam Silver was mumbling the whole time cuz he didn't want to give a real answer. If this was Danuel House you bet he's suspended and out for 2 weeks especially if we were playing the Lakers.

Danuel is a walking goof job, the Rockets are too lenient with their players.
