Really? People are talking about fast food and casual chain macaroni and cheese? I had some really good mac here the other day but it might be a bit far for you: http://www.karpo.co.uk/
Many restaurants, chains, use the same premise Kraft macaroni that comes in a bag they can cook it in.
KFC has some godly mac and cheese, but you're right, most restaurants don't have very good quality of mac and cheese. I wonder what's up with that.
I'll keep that in mind. Almost went today, but time didn't allow. Waitress at Buffalo Wild said they use Stouffer's frozen m/c. Whatever these places are using, they're definitely adding water to the cheese. Call it, "water cheese".
This thread wreaks of outside the loop. Y'all stay in Katy, don't come to Jus Mac. The best mac and cheese is at BRC, but just look at the picture, don't come inside my loop with your lifted, 2002 Chevy truck and Affliction shirt.
I loved this thread at first. Anti-foodie thread. Now it has turned into a foodie thread. And Ziggy, I think a Vette is about 1 step up from a Chevy 4x4.
I haven't had the mac, but they put ice in thier micheladas, their meatloaf tastes like drywal, and the gumbo is mush. I may have caught them on a bad night but I wasn't impressed. Btw. that mac looks like ****, small fry.
came in here to express my sentiment on both of these location's Mac. it does me good that I found them on the first page. that's my city!! also, the Mac from Big Daddy's BBQ is pretty good...and of course Just Mac.
Is this an ethnic thing? I mean that as a serious question. The last time I ever even THOUGHT of ordering/eating macaroni & cheese at a restaurant was.. never. That said, I have never even heard of Just Mac, so maybe I'll give it a try some day.. but.. mac & cheese? $.88 cents a box, mac & cheese, and the very very few times I have ever had 'mac & cheese' at any restaurant, it has been basically inedible. So when do we start the best 'Haute Poquette' thread?
