    MAC peeps:

A buddy of mine has a MacBook with OS X. He's in a class that shows how to solve problems using Authorware documents that require plugins.

I've gone through installations of AuthorWare Web Player from Adobe, and I can't open the page/document in Safari or FireFox.

This here page is the testing page for all AuthorWare installations: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/authorwareonly.html

What must I do to check?

I know just a bit about MACs to know I've exhausted some solutions I knew. Upon further investigation, the AuthorWare Web Player file is in the "Internet Plugins" folder, but neither Safari nor FireFox can open Authorware files.
