A 500+hp M5 would fold a new Z(with or without turbo) like a cheap suit--don't even START in on the Civics with spoilers and fart-cans on the back...

Check out the Infiniti M45. Fully loaded it's around $45k. 340 hp V8. Blows every other similar sedan in its class out of the water. It isn't as powerful as the M5 but it's also about 40k cheaper.

It owns the E-class, 5-series, GS's, and A6 - the rest of its class though.

Best luxury bang for the buck out there.

    1) Do you know how much hp the 350Z would have if you were to do a good turbo kit mod on it???? Asian cars can break the 500hp threshold like it was a joke. Why do you think Supras are banned from being imported anymore? A supra can easily get up into the 700-800hp range.

    2) Do you know how much the M5 weighs? It's like Iverson speed in Shaq's body.

Dreaming about the fast and the furious and working with REAL motors are two different things...I grew up around muscle cars(MOPAR, Doge and Chrysler)--both working on them and watching my brother race. Ten second quater-mile cars don't just appear with a turbo kit and and a computer chip. Show me a civic that can break the 500 hp threshold like "it was a joke" and I will show you a pure fantasy. Don't believe everything you see in movies--blown, 800ft-pound torque 69' Chargers don't lose drag races to toyotas--sorry.

M5's have Corvette 0-60 times and almost as much as torque. As for your Asian dream cars...I will take your Supra(since this is nothing but dream-casting) and a muscle car of my chosing--a 426 Hemi 'Cuda--and pull the paint of any weenie, rice rocket built for limp-d**k wannabe's:p

sorta sounds like my dad can beat up your dad doesn't it? hehehe

No problem man..just let me know.

I think Peter Buck(guitarist for REM) was a Delt at Emory--every chapter is different, we were more "animal house", average guys.

sorry--didn't mean to derail the thread...

Why do you keep on bringing up civics? That's like the weakest asian car.

Yeah, but it's heinous-looking. You can buy it for cheaper than that because many dealers are dealing on them. Apparently I'm not the only one that thinks Infiniti was nuts for trying to bring out a boat of a $45k luxury muscle car. :D

Well a BMW M5 can do the quarter mile in about 13 seconds or so. That's pretty good, but there are cars that are faster.

A Dodge Neon SRT-4 can do a 13.9 straight out of the dealership. Kinda sucks for a crappy Neon to be that close to ya. It costs under $20,000. And a 350z can do about the same.

You can mod just about any car to be pretty fast, it doesn't have to be an old beat-up domestic.

Speaking of civics and "rice" cars, is it just me or do others find this species annoying. Driving near Westhiemer at night on the weekend, these things are everywhere. They look tacky and try to imitate real race cars. I'm no fan of american muscle cars, but any one of these could blow your 115 hp economy car out of the water on a straight-away.

Do these kids know that we're talking about a Honda Civic with a 115 hp 1.5 liter engine? Just because you bolt on an intake and muffler doesn't mean anything. Do these kids know that their cars sound like crap? Whats with these imitation 5 foot high rear wing spoilers? If you saved the money you actually blow on these gimmicks you would be able to actually purchase a decent upgrade over a Honda Civic. Why not get a European sedan and leave it clean and stock?

Any asian guy driving a civic with spoilers and thinks he's bad ass is an idiot.

But anyone else who thinks that american muscle cars can smoke a true rice rocket (modded correctly), should be dealt a flying back spin kick to the nuts.
