Luxury Tax????

    In the NFL they do not have guaranteed money. The only money you are responsible for are the signing bonuses. So if a player does not perform up to the required specs you can release him and only be responsible for the signing bonus. I believe the team can choose to take it all in one big hit on the slaray cap or can stretch it out over the life of the original contract ( understand that this is only for salary cap reasons, the player got their signing bonus money upfront). The NFL got it right with their cba and the NBA was close but has too many loopholes.

    Basball is a gawd awful mess. You have a small group of owners who really don't care how much they spend and how it destroys the salary structure on the game. Signing players to unbelievable contracts. You got guys who are getting 10 mill per year and can barely bat over 250 and have an ERA over 5.00
