He is a great defender considering his size, IMO. And unless he's guarding a PG who has great handles and speed (or a turnaround jumpshot), he does a much better job guarding that position than Rafer most of the time. I remember how much Tinsley was lighting Rafer up until he was finally benched for the last few minutes, Luther came in, and Tinsley disappeared. His path to the basket was cut off much more frequently. Head doesn't overplay his opponents, ironically enough, only when he's definitely able to keep up with them.
