I really, really hate this matchup. What changes could we make that would put luther on someone else? Ak kills him in the post, where luther should not be in the first place.
Pray tell, what defensive matchup do you like for Luther????? There is none. Luther is a one-dimensional shooter. He does nothing else.
Play luther on Okur, since that queer does nothing but spot up and shoot 3's over Yao or Howard all day.
Luther can't guard anybody and him being on the floor is a major liability. He's only worth anything against weak defensive teams that leave him wide open. Once a defender "shows" on Luther and makes him put the ball on the floor, the we lose.
I agree with spotting him on Okur. If anyone is near three feet of that guy it seems like he can't hit. But I have a feeling we will be seeing the post play tonight. If he isn't hitting the 3's then what the hell is he doing?
If this weren't the playoffs, yes. But who else can we put in for him tonight? I trust JL3 and V-Span even less. The more I think about our poor starting PG and our pathetic backup PGs, the more I realize even if we win tonight, this team has little chance of making the Finals. But maybe the Jazz are uniquely programmed to make the Rockets play poorly.
