This ROokie Allstar really is a joke... remember that one time everyone on the floor just backed up on the sideline and let LeBron and Camelo do their dunk showdowns... it is pretty ridiculous...fans really want to see competitive sports...if we really wanna see dunk shows we would see the DunkNation from France, they are like 5 times better And to watch Nate Robinson doing 58 attempts in order to get a actual dunk just make me want to puke... this whole allstar thingy is going downhill rapidly compare to the Jordan era ones.
Well deserved I think. After a rough rookie year he worked hard on his 3-pt shot and it has paid off. I wonder what kind of bonus he gets for making the team
Mad props for Luther! A real achievement, and well deserved recognition. And to think I saw him being traded over the summer, and was all for it, reluctantly, if it got us a missing piece. Turned out that Luther was one of those pieces, here already and prepared to step up his game.
Man the sophomores are going to dominate in every aspect of the game... Hopefully Luther has a good showing. No matter what it'll be great for him being on a national stage like that.
luther head is like one of the best three point shooters on paper in the nba. he is a lock on the sophmore allstar squad.
It is why I vehemetly defend him. Any Rocket player deserves our love, our respect, and YES, our criticism. But, making fun of them......that is too much...IMO. DD
That is SWEET! Considering where he was drafted and it being hard for newbees to get playing time under JVG, AND there only being 9 players selected... I'm proud of Lutha
I'm not making fun of him. I'm making fun of your love for him and the fact that he's rated so highly on this board.
Being the Greek Mcgrady I would expect to see highlights of him throwing it off the backboard......no, make that off the shot clock to himself for a 540 reverse.
I am very happy that Head made the team, but he did have competition. Luther Head: 11.2 pts, 3.5 rebs, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals, .428 FG, .440 3 PT Jarret Jack: 12.2 pts, 2.4 rebs, 5.4 assists, 1.2 steals, .453 FG, .301 3 PT Hakim Warrick: 12.8 pts, 4.4 rebs, 1.0 assists, .5 steals, .524 FG Ryan Gomes: 11.7 pts, 5.9 rebs, 1.9 assists, .55 steals, .489 FG Sean May: 11.5 pts, 6.7 rebs, 1.9 assits, .491 FG Charlie Villanueva: 12, 6, and 1 Anyways I am happy for Luther and it will give me a reason to watch the Rookie-Sophomore game! Another note: If Chuck Hayes hadn't gotten replaced by Juwon Howard in the starting line-up he might have made the sophomore team.
awesome! I really like how Head has improved this year. I'm not sure he's the best fit for this team, though, and wouldn't be surprised if he IS in a trade package for someone who fits better. This will only increase his value. Either way, this is public recognition for how good a player he is, and I'm proud he's a Rocket, and proud the Rockets made such a good pick that low in the first round.
glad to hear it. he has improved his game and should be rewarded for it. it's a big honor to be selected to the all rookie team, then the all sophmore team the following year.
Wow those numbers are very close, but if you look at 4th quarter numbers..he's he's better than all of them. The rookie team has 5 gaurds and only 4 interior players..which is why i'm surprised none of the pfs didn't get in. I'm excited though. This is gonna be fun.
