I don't care if Luther Head breaks Wilt Chamberlain's all time scoring record in a game and averages over 24 ppg for the rest of the season. FOr the Rockets, that would be a step in the wrong direction. After what happened in 2007 and 2008 playoffs, I don't ever want to see that type of scoring output again from any team unless it is the Lakers, Mavs, or Jazz (then it is ok). Luther Head seems like nice, respectable guy, but he is better when he is not playing for the Rockets, sort of like Trevor Ariza.
Luther the Great's last 2 games: 22 min, 6 pts (2-8 FG), 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 to 20 min, 6 pts (2-6 FG), 1 reb, 1 ast, 2 to I hope nobody picked him up for their fantasy team expecting him to continue producing big. Granger is back now, too. That means less minutes and touches for Luther.
A third consecutive poor game for Head. 4 pts (2-7 FG), 3 reb, 1 ast in 17 min Despite starting, he barely played in the 2nd half. With him not producing and Granger back in the lineup, I wonder how long until he goes back to the bench.
Luther the Great needs to be the first option to put up big numbers. We've seen this before when he was in Houston. If Indy wants him to put up monster numbers, they need to trade us Granger.
