if gibson missed those shots, pistons win the series.

if, if, and ifs. gibson might be in a lucky period of time. theres a reason he didnt see any time b4 the last 3 games.

its about riding the wave of leadership. its lebron having trust and faith in his teammates. his faith makes them more confident. its momentum.

when the Rockets were down 0-2 headed toward America West Arena. Maxwell gave the Rockets confidence by saying a few f-words and dropping 31 2nd half points. that game momentum and confidence to his teammates.
something like "they can't f$## with us!" the birth of the baby "CLUTCH CITY" was born. praise him.

u have got to be kidding me? our role players have the utmost confidence in tmac. most of these guys wouldn't be where they are if tmac does not continue to pass through them.

remember 2 yrs ago in that game v. the pistons or that game v. the warriors, tmac told head during a late timeout he should shoot if he's opened and i'm doubled.

head hit it v. the warriors but missed v the pistons.

EVERYONE ON THE TEAM WAS COLD. but the warriors scored v. the jazz. the spurs scored easily v. the jazz.

we didnt adjust. blame it on JVG. sometimes u got to create other ways. but all the palys for tmac => pick and roll to death

    tinman,
    where did you mention Tmac?

self: I didn't write anything about tmac or any other Rocket except for Maxwell.

tinman: cool, at least we know you can read your own words

    self: thanks. go maxwell!

Complete nonsense coulda woulda shoulda. Two weeks ago no one even cared about Daniel Gibson and now everyone is hot on his bandwagon. Come on people let me refresh your memory when we drafted Novak, Gibson was scouted as a combo guard without the skill set to play the PG position and the lack of size to be a full-time SG. He was another Luther Head but even less polished. So why we would draft another undersized combo guard when we already have one?

Secondly Gibson plays with Lebron who is the PG of that team so no real pressure on him or any other combo type guy playing alongside him. Also people are praising him now for what his 3 point shooting? If that is the case then we did the right thing by drafting Novak who is much better 3 point shooter. Gibson has been good for Cavs but that doesn't mean he would have been the same everywhere else. Look Luther had the same chance to showcase his talent playing with Yao and T-Mac but he just happened to miss it. Novak was never utilized much by JVG but I bet if you get him 4-5 open looks he shoots at a higher percentage than Gibson.

    Daniel Gibson <> Luther Head.

    Similarities:
    - 3 pt shootings
    - poor defense
    - undersized

    Difference:
    - Boobie Gibson has more poise
    - Bobbie Gibson penetrations are more effective at drawing fouls. Or Head seldom penetrates.

i think head could be just as good as gibson if he just learned how to dribble the ball. seriously, how can an nba GUARD be so bad at dribbling?

I agree. It just looks so awkward for him to dribble around and create his own shot.

Luther Head should learn from Deron Williams. He & Dee Brown were supposed to be better than Williams, and look how that turned out. A complete flip-flop.

And shouldn't this be in the Rockets thread section? It is about Luther, after all.

And we have the man with the best handles in the league. Skip could make Luther Head the next Hot Sauce.

    ???

Pretty stupid move for a second rounder to be that picky about where he is drafted.

Umm, what? Deron Williams was a top 5 pick. The other were ... not. Everyone knew Williams was the one with star potential. When was Head supposed to be better than Williams? Coming out of high school?

He got lucky that the Cavs did end up finding a trade offer that cost them their pick, which would apparently have left Gibson undrafted.
