Are you for or against a lunch hour power nap?

I just had one, and I'm not sure how I'm going to react.

for it. even if you put your head down for about 15-30 minutes, you will feel refreshed, that is of course after the initial urge to go right back to sleep

It's good to take naps. Sometimes you just want to keep on sleeping though.

that's why when you do nap, do it in a very uncomfortable place. when I power nap, I usually do it in an awkward position so when I wake up my back hurts or something, keeps me awake.

That's how you get back problems. Having a loud alarm helps you wake up.

If you get accustomed to taking power naps, you can wake up without an alarm in about 20 or 30 minutes after you fall asleep.

For some reason, I can't do power naps. I have to nap for at least two hours or I'm groggy for the rest of the day/evening. I can't even sleep in a plane or car. I'm jealous of you guys who can pull it off.

I wack the snooze button at least 1 hour every weekday morning, no way I can pull off napping during lunch and be 'refreshed' for work.

    I too envy you nappers.

I take a "french shower" and bathe in deoderant and cologne...

i only do weights during lunch - so i don't sweat very much b/c the gym is kept very cool...

I drink a Red Bull in the morning, and that helps me get through the first part of my day. And I take a 30 minute power nap at lunch which helps me get through the rest of the afternoon.

Of course none of that would likely be necessary if I didn't average only 5 hours of sleep a night. :D
