    Yeah but.... Luke Walton???

Those guys are more likely to give him wedgies and wet willies than the respect a coach needs - even if its preseason

He's pulling a Roger Clemens. Only going to coach for the last 1/4 of the season.

Probably not... I don't think he was cool enough to fit in like his dad.

The reigning Finals MVP has a ton of respect for Luke Walton. I think he'll be ok.

ESPN article says it happened during game 5 of the finals.

Dafuq? I never knew drawing up a play or calling a timeout could lead to a ruptured disk.

Calling plays requires brain power.. more and more blood flows to the brain causing it to swell .. the extra weight of the brain from the swelling puts extra pressure on the spine causing a disk to rupture..why do you think Mchale never called plays?

Lots of pressure on Kerr. If they start losing a string of games, maybe they decide to keep Walton and let Kerr go.

Kerr would be great in Houston.

There is a 0% chance of that happening. Kerr already won a title.

So does Kerr return to head coaching duties? Or is it a situation where he becomes the asst. coach to ease himself back into head coaching duties?

Insiders say Luke Walton may become the heir apparent if Kerr's doubts are validated and his back is just too painful to finish the remaining years on his contract. This was spoken of on: ESPN LA: Mason & Ireland [Hr 3] 4/5/16
