he's not bad, although his D sucks. Not a bad option to be a back up, as long as no trading anyone in the roster for him

I don't think Luke will be a good fit. My 2 cent.

His contract is insanely huge. If we are going to pick him up then who would we have to give up to get him. With TMac Artest and Battier rotating what was the point of aquiring Barry if we aren't going to play him. I think Barry has some gas in him left and I think he can still contribute as a back up pg for this team. I haven't seen much of Ridnour but his defence is definitely less than spectacular. We need someone who can at least somewhat hold their own or at least somewhat slow down slighty guys like deron and paul. This would definitely be a questionable move if we traded to get him...

That article was pure conjecture. They even mentioned Carl Landry as a possibility. Ha! That's worse than when I and many others on this board were screaming for Amir Johnson a year ago.

What some of ya'll were missing is we would receive two draft picks (late 1st, early 2nd) in a fair deal. Also Ridnour's contract is expiring after next year.

So it would be taking 3 out of the rotation players--Head (OK player a OK contract--but we are now loaded at SG), Francis (expiring contract of a player who likely will never lay another meaningful minute in the NBA), Novak, for a player who might contribute at a more needed position and has an expiring contract in 2009-2010 (see Bobby Jackson for how useful that can be).

    Thank you, Memphis!

Let's do this again in the offseason.

We may wind up with Ridnour anyway. McGrady and Landry to Milwaukee for Jefferson, Villanueve, and Ridnour makes a lot of sense for both teams.

With the way Villanueva has been playing lately I'm not sure the Bucks will give him up.

They can't afford to keep him. We can get him and Jefferson for McGrady's expiring and others. They can use the insurance to cover McGrady's salary.

Yo Durvasa...in 2010 can you say you prefer LeBron or Wade when someone makes a topic that says "Joe Johnson"? LMAO

I think McGrady's 23 million expiring contract could fetch more than that. Richard Jefferson is alright, but I don't think he's worth 14 million a year. And I know a lot of people will disagree, but I just like Landry more than Villanueva.

Unless its Memphis doing a sign and trade, I don't think I'll have much luck with that. :)

    They're just giving players away.

You gotta give to get. RJ at $14 mill on the court playing is a whole lot better than McGrady at $23 mill sitting doing nothing. If we could get RJ and Charlie V, that is two very good rotation pieces that would play very well in an Adelman offense.

Richard Jefferson is a great player, but with Artest and Battier... we'd be clogged. So I agree with that assessment.

But right now, Villanueva has stepped up big time with Bogut going down. And I truly doubt Bucks would give him up.

And I wanted Javaris Crittenton or Kyle Lowry ever since they had the 4 young point guards. (Carlos Navarro, Crittenton, Lowry, and Conley)

I think it might be possible Memphis will give away Gay before that big contract extension. His play is down lately, and I'm going to say it's because of Mayo.
