so it was the owners sole idea to not even inform Luka and for Nico to only talk to Pelinka only for streetclothes Davis?
I just noticed that the Mavs lease at their arena ends in 2031. And they don't control their own draft picks from 2027-2030. I'm not saying they're deliberately tanking their team over the next few years in order to drive away the fanbase and pave the way for relocating the franchise(Vegas?), but if that was their plan, would they be doing anything differently?
The lakers just always seem to be on the good end of lopsided trades. Wilt, Kareem, Kobe, and now Luka. 4 of the most lopsided trades ever
There are no plans to move the team from Dallas. So they are as good as gone... Honestly, it would be crazy, given the price they paid for it. If they bought it when Cuban did, it would have made perfect sense
They are trying to get casino gambling legalized in Texas and if they do their plan is to build a new arena casino combination in Irving where Texas Stadium was located. The fans were chanting Fire Nico at the Stars game Thursday.
they really need to be an ass the way they did it? it's not just dallas fans they turned off.. nba players, nba coaches, bball fans, people...
I'm not sure if this counts as a trade...Utah (back in the day before free agency was free for good players) signed a Lakers player and was forced to send 3 FRPs to the Lakers. The third of those FRPs was Magic Johnson.
Fun fact about this: Part of what allowed them to send 3 FRP was renouncing the draft rights to one Moses Malone. So they basically long out on 2 all timers.
they’re chanting “fire Nico” when he was told to do this trade by ownership and is being made the fall guy The man killed it last season with Dallas and built a finals team, then just wakes up one day and wants to dismantle it and trade away the franchise player? I call bullsh*t
