that's right on the money. To be frank, I feel sorry for Scola. The guy gets much less minutes and shoots than he deserves to get. It's a waste of talents to have both Scola and Landry in one team, while each player could only place 20ish minutes. We need to trade one of them to get a good PG.
He's already scoring enough without being the first option. He's going up against usually taller guys if he's posts up, so let's let him get his hustle points like he's already doing.
Luis is not that type of player. Most of his baskets(not all of them) come from hustle plays. If you make him first option the defense knows whats coming and will defense him accordingly. Luis doesn't really create mismatches on offense.
What's up with all the insults? The OP couldn't be serious and is obviously joking. You guys don't have a sense of humor or what? Ridiculous!
He is for team Argentina when they play the USA...he is fully capable of being that type of player, heck he is one of the few that can be any type of player. That is what Tmac is struggling with...not being THE GUY. DD
no he shouldn't he ought be doing exactly what he's doing, Yao needs to be the first option, then Mac or Artest, Brooks, Landry, etc... but Luis is not the go to guy.
Luis has no outside game other than a catch-and-shoot jump shot. Moreover, he absolutely is not fast enough to drive past decent defenders. He isn't tall enough to just catch and work around defenders like Yao, nor is he strong enough to bully his way past them.... Luis is a good 2/3rd option, but 1st is too unrealistic.
luis is a very good player. unlike rafer, shane, and hayes, he actually takes advantage of the double teams on yao and tracy and find open spots AND SCORES. imagine that. if we had him all along from 04-05, we would have gotten out of the first round already. he would have dominated v. the mavs in 04-05. he would have at least somewhat neutralized boozer (he did last yr) in 06-07 luis will be a difference maker come playoffs time.
