like many said before the season, it's a such brilliant deal by Morey! I knew Luis wouldn't let us down. He kicks ass in every court and team!

Imagine if we have Yao right now, this team would be a real Champion.

What did we do in another life to have SA give us players like Scola and Mad Max? Max cost us $50,000. That's it. Vernon helped us win a hell of a lot of games. And Scola was regarded as the top Euro League player for years, with SA holding his rights, so how could they give him up for peanuts and to a division rival? It just trips me out.

I still can't imagine what the Spers management were thinking. Sure, I've heard giving him away saved them $10 million in luxury taxes, but wasn't their management doing some All Star bungling to put themselves in that position? They knew they would have to sign Scola and bring him over, or he might sign a lucrative, long term contract with the Spanish team he played for. Look at Scola's contract with the Rocks! SA couldn't manage to work that in, so they wouldn't lose an asset and a valuable addition to their roster, when he had been "on a wire" with the Spers for five years? $3 million a year for three years? Chump change for a starting quality PF with upside. Very, very bad planning on their part. Pops is blowing chunks, spewing venom, and generally having a fit that they let him go, and to Houston, or so I've heard.

Just too groovy to be real, but it is.

    THANK YOU, SAN ANTONIO!!!
