Scola freaking rocks! Love hayes hustle and hardwork, but man he's got zero offensive game. I scream at my tv everytime he misses a wide open layup. If only he could dunk like landry, then he would be more useful on the offensive end.

thats true his freethrows need a lot of work, and something else I think can help his game is if he can dribble while looking up while he is making all them spin moves so he can find a cutter to the basket

I don't know about Spurs GM, but the Spurs fan board has a stickied Scola thread.

As good as they already are can you imagine how good they would be had they been able to bring Luis over? Oberto is decent but he is no Scola.

Is Scola our best PF since Otis Thorpe? He may very well be.

I think we need to utilize the Bonzi with Scola a little more also because they feed off of each other really well. At the beginning of the year, James and Scola had a nice PnR thing going, but James' inability to hit shots rendered that useless. Now, Bonzi's passing and Scola continuous motions/cuts are really opening the floor up for both of them.

During his post game interview he said they popped back in and he feels fine. What really show his character is he said he wanted to play some more but coach wouldn't let him back in the game. :D

He is so crafty and is always a move or two ahead of most NBA players.

In terms of B-Ball IQ...Scola is off the charts....

Glad to see the Rockets getting some players with high IQ and athleticism..

As I wrote in another thread, this adjustment to the starting lineup (and more adjustments need to be made) has had a very positive outcome. The "old" starting lineup was too offensively challenged. This put enormous pressure on Yao and TMac. The tandem of Landry and Scola has punished teams for doubling Yao. I would like to see TMac go to the SF (to start) with Bonzi at the SG and then bring Battier in for defensive purposes as needed. I would like to see Rafer on the bench and Andre Miller starting. Unfortunately, we don't have Andre Miller. Actually, my favorite lineup is TMac at SF, Mike Miller at SG, and Andre Miller at PG. Smokin!

What an upgrade over Howard. He can knock down that mid-range jumper at slightly lower clip than Howard, but he is so capable on the box. He can back you down, he can face up, he can dream shake, and he can go around bigger defenders.

What he needs to improve is turnover less and defends better. To me he came out of the same mold of Yao, just about 8 inches shorter.

For his price, he is very productive. Him and Bonzi Wells are the biggest new factors for us compared with last year.

Again, like I said the beginning of the year....Scola would be the biggest difference for us.....just watch FIBA tournament...the way he played against the USA...against the likes Stoudemire and Howard either says two things that both are somewhat overrated or that Scola could be really good.

Then who expected the emergence of Landry and Brooks, they have came along and filled alot of voids in this team.

I think the three have given us the "real" potential to beat any team in the league in 7 game series....all three players play very competent and at times great defense and all three can be great scorers, if given the opportunity.

I think so, now that he looks like he's finally gotten used to the NBA game and lowered his number of mistakes.

In fact, I think Scola, Landry and Chuck might each be better than any other PF we've had since Sir Charles. I mean, we are talking Juwan in his old age (probably best of the remainder group), Stro, Mo Taylor, the late Eddie Griffin, Scott Padgett, Kelvin Cato, etc.

Duncan was scared to play center(maybe cuz of Yao :D ).

He refused to move from his pf spot
