Scola is a joke here, but he accomplished his mission because Ibaka took the bait. When your team can't win playing basketball, introduce other measures. I loved Scola with the Rockets but I hated his flopping.
I dont blame CP3 for it at all with all the **** Scola's teammates were doing throughout the game with high elbows on every picks.
He played in Spanish league before he came to USA. I think he got a citizenship while he was playing there.
How is Ibaka a punk? thats asenine, everyone knows Scola gets under players skin, look at the tape again ask Kevin Love and Derek Fisher, at some point you gota ask why these players seemingly take cheap shots at Scola
LOL, Scola flopped on the first incident. Then the Spanish guy flopped on him. I've said it many times. Scola is the kind of guy you'd love him when he's on your team and be extremely annoyed by him when he's the opponent. Same thing with Ginobili.
I don't think that was a flop by scola, at :50 you can see scola didn't just throw his head back. Ibaka's elbow followed scola's jaw the whole way back, it would only do that if there was pressure. And at the second one you can see Ibaka also put some force into that two handed push right into scola's chest, maybe scola sold that one by falling but i bet it was still a foul. I miss scola lol and will always stick up for him but c'mon yall are calling ibaka a punk really? Ibaka's cool.
Not really, it was something made out of nothing. All of these foreigners get angry when they're outmatched physically by everyone on Team USA.
Yeah well that Argentinian player forearm shoved Chris Paul prior to CP3 throwing him down; which wasn't even a throw down he just flopped to the ground and embellished the contact. If you're gonna do something like that, you better expect the damn consequences. Hate floppers.
This is where the bias comes from. Scola's head was already throttling backwards when Ibaka lifted his elbow. Ibaka didn't do anything wrong. Besides, Olympic basketball + FIBA rules, regarding physicality? Let them play, ref! Who wants to look like a wimp in front of international television?
