Post player that plays at mid-range. Gets rebounds from lucky bounces. No defense.

Luis Scola has turned into Juwan Howard.

Scola doesn't miss that Game 6 layup in Utah that would have basically buried the Jazz psyche.

ok nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Luis is not to blame for this stupid team. If anyone its not Scola or Lowry, they are both untouchable.

I never saw Howard go into the post and fake people into embarrassment the way Scola did against Bynum and Griffin the last two nights.

That said, he brings a lot more to the table 18 feet from the basket than he does in the actual paint -- and that is a serious disappointment. As has so often been pointed out, Scola complements a serious center presence like Yao well, but otherwise his bad defense and lack of a physical presence is exposed.

Overall, Scola and Martin are both very solid role players who are being exposed this season as having succeeding in the past by playing a role that our current team does not allow them to play (Scola being hurt by the loss of the inside defensive presence Yao and Hayes gave, and Martin exposed by the removal of the Adelman offense and the new foul rules).

It looks like Morey picked the perfect time to sell high on them over the offseason, and Stern vetoing that trade set the team back...oh, I don't know... 3 freaking years. 10-1 odds that quote came from Morey himself.

No, Scola is only good when he scores. Does nothing else... It's only Lowry that's untouchable.

True, outside of Lowry this whole squad could be blown up and reassembled for next season.

There is ONLY 2 consistent player on this squad, and its Lowry/Lee. Why? Because If they aren't scoring, they still give you defense, assist(Kyle), and hustle. They are total game changers in many other aspects besides scoring which makes them consistent. Night in, Night out.

Scola is not consistent. He can't put up good numbers everyday to win us games. You could add who does put up good scoring numbers everyday?

    The answer is: NO one.

But the good players are the ones that find a way to impact the game in other ways regardless if he's scoring or not. Rockets have a starting unit filled with talented high offensive driven players but NONE are consistent.

    Scola
    Martin
    Budinger

..are all ONE dimensional players. Great scorers and nothing else. Nada, zip.

    Dalembert =

One dimensional player primarily as a defender

    Lowry
    Lee
Dragic (but reckless at times that's why I didn't count him as consisent) =

    Game changers. All around players

    Patterson
    Morris
    Williams
    Parsons
Thabeet (couple more years to write off) =

    Unproven players

    Flynn
    Jeff A.
    Hill...

    ...........Garbage

all i wanna know is why t-will, parson, and sometimes lowry were guarding griffin low in the post. Why the pink hell was t-will and lowry and scola on the floor together with twill playing power forward.

And each time, the clippers went to griffin in the post, and i mean deep in the post against these players time after time, and mchale failed to make any adjustment.

its surprising considering we have patterson, thabeet, jordan hill, and scola- and yet- twill, parsons and lowry were guarding griffin in the post.
