You know how I know you're gay? Because you call Luis Scola, the "Passion Assassin" . Rambo is a good one.. All Scola needs to do is school some Vietnamese people on the court and he is set.
Rambola! Anyway, I was tempted to start a new thread about this, but I resisted.. See, I have a problem. Any time I hear Scola interviewed, I start to get the giggles. Why? I have Sirius Sat Radio, and pretty much all I listen to on it in the car or at work on the computer is the 'Laugh Break' channel. It's just this constant mish-mash of comedy routines, from pretty new to really really old. Well, if you remember the old SNL's, there was a regular on that show (and I never even knew he was a stand-up comic, but apparently he must have done at least SOME), went by the name of Father Guido Sarducci. A lot of you should remember this guy, and if you have the sat radio thing, you may know what I am talking about now, because they occasionally play bits of the guy's stand-up routines. Scola sounds identical to Father Guido Sarducci! I mean, close your eyes and listen, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Then this 'Worst Nickname Contest' award-winner 'Passion Assassin' thing came along, and I just imagine Father Guido Sarducci saying 'I am-a de Pashin Assashin,' and it just gets even more weirdly funny. So anway, I like "Rambo' better, it's far less silly and lame, and definitely less Sarducci-like.
Father Guido's masterbation and getting into heaven routine is hilarious. but it adds up..35...35...35.... Classic. DD
The Passion Assassin sounds more like an insult than a nickname. It's like accusing Scola of assassinating the passion of the team.
I understand what you mean, but that's not what it sounds like. If it was "Passionate Assassin" then it would sound like what you mean (but then it wouldn't rhyme as well ).
I work at a dps office. Luis Scola and his security escort came in so Scola could get his driver license. He was in some brand new suburban that some dealership just gave to him. He could provide proof of insurance, so I loaned him my regular cab ranger pick up. Scola took the test and passed, and later shook my hand and thanked me. He also took pics with some of the women in the office. Nice guy. DB aka Kountzer
I meant to say he could not provide proof of insurance. I'm sure the dealership that gave him the vehicle had that covered though.
I'd like Adelman to post up him more and more. Of course it depends who is quarding him but he is just so great around the basket, he's got great moves there
did i miss something? Is this thread about Scola's nickname, His amount of ppg? Does it matter if he averages 9.99 ppg? I'm confused
It is better to average 10 than 9,9. Especially for Scola who is rookie and has a chance of winning ROY
It is about all things Luis, but also how cool it would be for him to get to double figures scoring for the year. I am just a stats junkie... DD
I'm still lost, why the emphasis on 10? Why not 10.1, 11, or 15? I don't think he can win ROY though, Durant plays so much that he has the green light on offense and puts up the numbers that the voters are looking for.
Oh no! That sucks, It gets annoying sometimes when I talk to people that only look at stats. As much as I love Josh Howard and Ginobli as players... I had a guy argue me down that Ginobli was hands down better than Kobe because of his PER stat and Josh Howard is much better than Tracy because he has a better FG%. Do you really know what that 2% amounts to in a game, not that much. I was livid. Stats aren't always a good indicator of the player.
